DANIEL CROWN, Founder Daniel s film industry ties date back to the 1940s when his grandfather owned the largest movie theater circuit in the Northeast, the Schine Theaters. In 1991, Daniel continued that family legacy with his purchase of the Cineamerica East Theater Assets, which were later renamed Crown Theaters. Over the next 15 years, Daniel expanded his circuit from 23 screens to over 200 screens in New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Illinois, Florida, Minnesota and Nevada. Following the final disposition of the theaters in 2007, he founded Foray Entertainment LLC, a private equity investment company, which makes strategic investments in motion picture projects. Foray and its principals have been responsible for the production of seven films, the first four of which all premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The remaining three titles are currently in post production. Daniel s films have starred some of Hollywood s biggest names including: Hilary Swank, Mathew Perry, Jeff Daniels, Lauren Graham, Jessica Alba, Kevin Pollack, Ginnifer Goodwin, Ben Foster, Emma Roberts and Sam Rockwell. In addition to his responsibilities at Red Crown, Daniel serves on the boards of Lenox Hill Hospital, Mt. Sinai Children s Foundation, Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Jerusalem Foundation, Crohn s and Colitis Foundation, We Are Family Foundation and Lollipop Theater Network. RedCrown.FINAL8.indd 7
