Year 3/4 Spellings 2018/19 Parents, Please find below 32 spelling sets for this academic year. Each set of words is designed for the children to practise a particular spelling rule or pattern which they will have looked at in school that week. Try to emphasise these rules and patterns at home rather than simply learning the words for a test. Some sets of spellings are intended as revision, for example homophones or adding ed endings. Whilst they may appear to be simple spellings, they are common spelling errors that children make in their writing and they need to practise applying the rules and using these words in context. Please note, spellings will come home on a Monday and will be tested the following Friday. Thank you for your continued support with spelling at home! Miss Davison
