The qualtatve easos of voltage ad cocetato loweg of the vacuu plasa by ceasg of B AMF ca be explaed by the cocept of expadg cathode spot plasa jets. The te-electode plasa s geeated by a ube of cathode spots at the cathode suface, as show qualtatvely Fg.8. I ths fgue, uppe electode s cathode, ad the othe oe s aode. Each dvdual cathode spot poduces a dvdual cuet chael. Due to ts teal pessue gadet, each plasa jet expads adally [11].
