Operating Envirnment NOTE: When pwering the CCS-UC-1 with PE+ (IEEE 820.3at), PE+ switches that utilize Link Layer Discvery Prtcl (LLDP) must have LLDP enabled. Please crdinate with the IT Administratr wh manages netwrk infrastructure at the custmer site t make sure the PE+ prts have LLDP enabled. Fr mre infrmatin, refer t Trubleshting n page 41. The cmputer must be cnnected t the same subnet as the CCS-UC-1. Cnnect t the Device Perfrm the fllwing prcedure t cnnect t the device: 1. On the device, tap. 2. System Inf Screen The System Inf screen lists the IP address, hst name, and ther system infrmatin. 3. Nte the IP address r hst name and tap X t clse the System Inf screen. 4. On the cmputer, pen a web brwser and navigate t the IP address r hst name that was displayed n the System Inf screen. The welcme screen is displayed. NOTE: Prir t displaying the welcme screen, the web brwser may display a security warning message abut the security certificate. It is safe t ignre this warning as lng as the user verifies that the brwser s address bar indicates the crrect IP address r hst name f the CCS-UC-1. Status Screen 5. Click Sign In t cntinue. A ppup windw is displayed prmpting fr the user name and passwrd. 6. Enter the default user name ( admin ) and passwrd ( admin ), and press Enter t cntinue. The device s Status screen is displayed. The Status screen displays infrmatin abut the device and allws cnfiguratin f the device s perating parameters: Cnfigure the Device STATUS cntains general infrmatin abut the device, and netwrk infrmatin. Click General t view general infrmatin r click Netwrk t view netwrk infrmatin. Click + Shw Mre Details t view mre details. Click + Shw Less t view fewer details. HDMI INPUT cnfigures the HDMI input. HDMI OUTPUT cnfigures the HDMI utput. NETWORK cnfigures the device fr peratin in a netwrk envirnment. DEVICE is used t uplad firmware, rebt the device, view the system lg, cnfigure SIP calling parameters, and set the date and time. AVF cnfigures the settings fr Crestrn Fusin integratin, dialing features, meeting functinality, and rm scheduling. AIRMEDIA cnfigures the device s AirMedia presentatin gateway functinality. Cnfigure the device as required fr the installatin. HDMI INPUT Click HDMI INPUT t cnfigure the HDMI input. HDMI INPUT Screen General Settings Select whether HDCP supprt shuld be enabled r disabled. When HDCP supprt is enabled, surce signals that require HDCP cmpliance are allwed t pass thrugh t the device that is cnnected t the HDMI utput. When HDCP supprt is disabled, surce signals that d nt require HDCP cmpliance are nt allwed t pass thrugh t the device that is cnnected t the HDMI utput. NOTE: When HDCP is enabled, the cnnected display must be HDCP cmpliant as well. EDID Extended Display Identificatin Data (EDID) is a data structure prvided by a digital display t describe its capabilities t a vide surce (i.e., graphics card r set-tp bx). It is what enables a mdern persnal cmputer t knw what kinds f mnitrs are cnnected t it. The EDID sectin f the HDMI INPUT screen specifies the EDID prfile that is selected fr use. Only surce devices that use the selected EDID prfile are allwed t send signals thrugh the device. T select an EDID prfile t supprt, select ne f the prfiles t supprt frm the drpdwn list, and click Apply EDID. If a prfile is nt listed in the menu, a custm prfile can be laded nt the device. Perfrm the fllwing prcedure t lad a custm EDID prfile. 1. Frm the Select drpdwn list, select Custm. 2. Click Lad CEDID file. 3. Click Brwse and navigate t the lcatin f the custm CEDID file. 4. Input Signal Click Input Signal t view details abut the input signal cnnected t the HDMI input prt. HDMI OUTPUT Click HDMI OUTPUT t cntrl and cnfigure the HDMI utput. The screen displays cnfiguratin cntrls fr the HDMI utput, infrmatin abut the cnnected display, and infrmatin abut the utput signal. HDMI OUTPUT Screen HDMI Output Setting Disable Output Settings Set Disable Output Settings t select whether the utput shuld be enabled (set t N) r disabled (set t Yes). When set t N, the reslutin can be set and HDCP supprt can be enabled r disabled. Reslutin The utput reslutin can be set t a certain value r the device can autmatically detect the display device s maximum reslutin and set itself accrdingly. With the Reslutin setting, specify a value frm the drpdwn list r select Aut. HDCP Supprt With the HDCP Supprt setting, select whether HDCP autmatically fllws the HDCP setting f the input signal r if it is always enabled. The Enabled setting shuld always be used. NETWORK Click NETWORK t cnfigure the device fr perating in a netwrk envirnment. NETWORK Screen Netwrk Setting Use a hst name and dmain name as an alternative t IP addressing when cnnecting client cmputers t the device. 1. Enter a hst name (15 characters r less) in the Hst Name field and a dmain name (ptinal) in the Dmain Name field. 2. The device has tw netwrk adapters. The netwrk adapters can be set t have the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers set manually, r btain the settings frm a DHCP server. Chse ne f the fllwing ptins fr each netwrk adapter. Set DHCP Enabled t On t use a DHCP server t prvide the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server. Set DHCP Enabled t Off t manually enter the Ethernet parameters. When set t Off, the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers must be manually entered. NOTE: The netwrk adapters cannt be set independently. They must use the same setting. 3. Click Save Changes t apply any changes. Click Revert t revert back t the previusly used settings. 802.1x Cnfiguratin Sme netwrks require devices t use 802.1x prt-based netwrk access cntrl fr access t the netwrk. T use 802.1x, set IEEE 802.1x Authenticatin t Enabled and select the desired methd f authenticatin. Certificate Authenticatin 1. In the Authenticatin Methd field, select EAP-TLS-certificate. 2. Enter the dmain name f the authenticatin server. 3. Uplad a machine certificate. a. Click Manage Certificates t manage certificates fr 802.1x authenticatin. A list f certificates is displayed. Manage Certificate Screen b. Click the Machine tab. The current machine certificate is displayed. c. Click t delete the certificate frm the list f certificates. d. Click Add Machine Certificate. The Add Certificate screen is displayed. Add Certificate Screen e. Click Brwse, select the certificate file, and click Open. f. When prmpted, enter the passwrd used t encrypt the file. g. Click Lad t uplad the certificate t the CCS-UC-1. A message cnfirming the uplad is displayed. h. 4. If authenticatin server validatin is nt used, set Enable Server Validatin t Disabled and cntinue t step 6. Otherwise, set Enable Server Validatin t Enabled and select the trusted certificate authrities t use. T select all f the authrities, click the check bx next t the search bx. T unselect all f the authrities, click the check bx again. T search fr a specific authrity, start typing the name f the authrity in the search bx and check the bx next t the desired authrity. 5. Click Manage Certificates t manage certificates fr 802.1x authenticatin. A list f certificates is displayed. Manage Certificate Screen a. Click t delete a certificate frm the list f certificates. b. Click Add Rt Certificate. The Add Certificate screen is displayed. Add Certificate Screen c. Click Brwse, select the certificate file, and click Open. d. Click Lad t uplad the certificate t the CCS-UC-1. A message cnfirming the uplad is displayed. e. Click OK t clse the Add Certificate screen. 6. Click Save Changes when dne r Revert t return t the previus setting. Passwrd Authenticatin 1. In the Authenticatin Methd field, select EAP-MSCHAP V2-passwrd. 2. 3. Set Enable Server Validatin t Enabled and select the trusted certificate authrities t use. T select all f the authrities, click the check bx next t the search bx. T unselect all f the authrities, click the check bx again. T search fr a specific authrity, start typing the name f the authrity in the search bx and check the bxes next t the desired authrities. 4. Click Manage Certificates and perfrm the fllwing prcedure t lad a custm certificate. a. Click the Rt tab t manage certificates fr 802.1x authenticatin. Manage Certificates - Rt Tab. b. 2. Click Firmware Upgrade. 3. Click Brwse and navigate t the lcatin f the firmware file. 4. Select the file t use and click Open. 5. Click Lad t lad the firmware. Maintenance Click Restre t restre the factry settings. Click Rebt t rebt the device. Device Lgs Click Dwnlad Lgs t dwnlad the device s system lgs t the PC. Sessin Initiatin Prtcl (SIP) Calling T cnfigure the device t make phne calls using a SIP server, perfrm the fllwing prcedure: 1. Set Enable SIP t On. 2. Select the transprt prtcl t use fr SIP calling frm the Transprt Type drpdwn list. Cnsult with the VIP administratr fr the prper setting. 3. Enter the IP address f the SIP server in the Server IP Address field. 4. Enter the prt number t be used within the SIP netwrk in Prt. NOTE: Prt 5060 is the default prt used by mst SIP servers. Check with the VIP netwrk administratr fr prt availability. 5. Enter the user name and passwrd in the Server Username and Server Passwrd fields. 6. Enter the name f the SIP server realm in the Server Realm field. 7. Enter the lcal extensin number in the Lcal Extensin field. 8. Enter the SIP prxy server s IP address r hst name in the Prxy Server field. 9. Select the Ethernet prt n the CCS-UC-1 t use fr SIP calling. Select Adapter 1 if the LAN prt n the CCS-UC-1 cnnects t the SIP server. Select Adapter 2 if the AUX prt n the CCS-UC-1 cnnects t the SIP server. 10. If server validatin is nt used, set Enable Server Validatin t Disabled. Otherwise, set Enable Server Validatin t Enabled and select the trusted certificate authrities t use. T select all f the authrities, click the check bx next t the search bx. T unselect all f the authrities, click the check bx again. T search fr a specific authrity, start typing the name f the authrity in the search bx and check the bxes next t the desired authrities. T lad a custm certificate, click Manage Certificates and perfrm the fllwing prcedure. a. Click the Sip tab t manage certificates fr use with a SIP server. Click Lad t uplad the certificate t the CCS-UC-1. A message cnfirming the uplad is displayed. f. Click OK t clse the Add Certificate screen. 11. Click Save Changes t apply any changes. Click Revert t revert back t the previusly used settings. 12. Verify the status f the cnnectin t the SIP server in the Status field.
