ACTIVITY 1 Read this leaflet. SEASIDE MUSIC FESTIVAL This is our third year of bringing you the best in pop and rock music from around the world. The festival is even bigger and better with more stages and more bands to entertain you. The 3-day festival is the place for fans and families to start their summer with a host of international stars giving live performances and the top DJs making you dance through the night. The main event will be held on the Beach Stage located at the west of the town beneath the cliffs. Booking opens on 4 th February at 8am. As usual we will have an international choice of food and drink on the promenade only open to festival ticket holders. ACTIVITY 2 You phone the festival to find out about the final line-up. Ask your tutor for the tape. Listen to the tape and then answer the questions. 1. Who is the headline artist on Sunday? 2. ACTIVITY 3 At the festival there are many artists who are planning to appear. The website lists these in order of appearance. Change this to a list of names in alphabetical order by the performers names or surnames. Look at these names. ACTIVITY 7 Plan a piece of writing In Activity 8 you will have to do one of the following: write about a music festival or concert you have been to or would like to go to, or about the music that you like to listen to or write a letter to the organisers of a music festival or concert about how you found the event, or a write a letter to a friend explaining why you want to invite them to a festival or concert Your piece of writing should be several paragraphs long.
