Superior picture quality with astonishing colour reproduction The BRAVIA KDL-70X3500 adopts the Triluminos LED backlight technology invented by Sony. Triluminos allows for the creation of a wider spectrum of colours (102% of the NTSC colour gamut) by aligning three individual LEDs of red, green and blue to achieve a significantly higher purity for these primary colours. The result is the television s ability to display more natural and vivid colours similar to what the human eye can actually see. The BRAVIA KDL-70X3500 features x.v.colour which conforms to xvycc international standard. xvycc is an international standard for colour space in videos endorsed by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). x.v.colour enables realisation of a wider range of colours at approximately twice that of conventional standards (srgb). Powered by Sony s premium BRAVIA ENGINE PRO with a picture quality enhancement circuit called Digital Reality Creation Multi-Function v2.5, the 70-inch BRAVIA LCD TV can fully display contents from 1080i and 1080p Full HD sources. Digital Reality Creation Multi-function (DRC-MF) v2.5 has the added ability to process interlace, progressive and even HD video signals over previous DRC-MF circuits. It can conduct its processing and output them to 1080p with the least amount of conversions to avoid degradation.
