1. Touring Personnel The following people are touring with Theatre Junction: 7 Performers 1 Stage Manager 1 Director 1 Technical Director 1 Designer 1 Technician 2. Stage and Performance Area Stage: Black box theatre (no proscenium) Minimum 55 (16.7m) width x 35 (10.6m) depth The stage floor must be smooth, even and level. Performance area: There are three areas: centre stage is 40 (12.1m) wide x 20 (6m) deep Smith s area on Stage Right is 9 (2.7m) wide x 8 (2.4m) deep and the Forrest area on Up Stage Left is 10 (3m) wide x 4 (1.2m) deep. The temperature should never be under 22 C. 3. Theatre plans and inventory The presenter must provide and send plans and inventory lists for the theatre as soon as possible, so we can adapt our work to your venue. The presenter must provide these plans to Theatre Junction s Technical director at least 2 months prior to the first performance. These plans should be of a scale not less than 1:50 or ¼ = 1 and should include: - Ground plan: showing the layout of the stage, backstage, loading area and seating - Electrics plan: showing all lighting positions, circuit positions and numbers, all permanently hung instruments and the lay-out of all fly and electrical lines - Profile plan: showing stage, audience rakes and height of ceiling and grid. - Inventory list of all in-house sound, lighting, video equipment and soft goods that is available. 4. Production Schedules and Labour requirements The Presenter must provide the services of a local Technical Director who is knowledgeable in the technical specifications of the local venue and who will act as the liaison person between the Company s Technical Director, the local crew, the House Management personnel and the Presenter. The Presenter agrees to provide a professional, experienced and reliable local crew able to carry out all the tasks associated with the load in, set-up and strike, according to the department to which they are assigned. The local crew will be under the supervision of the Company Technical Director and the Company s technical crew throughout all operations. Sound requirements The presenter must provide the following: - Good quality stereo or 5.1 FOH system capable of 30 Hz-18 khz, and 2 speakers for specials - Mixing board with at least 16 inputs and 4 outputs (if stereo or 8 outputs if 5.1). - 3 compressors and EQ - 3 wireless handheld mics, 2 tall stands and one tabletop stand. - 2 wireless guitar transmitter/receivers. - 2 DI s and cabling to carry stereo laptop signal from stage to FOH mixer. Theatre Junction will provide computers, audio interfaces, 2 guitar stands and music instruments. 6. Video requirements The presenter will supply the following: - 1 Projector minimum 5000 Lumens - 1 Projection screen (size to be discussed) Theatre Junction will provide video playback equipment. 8. Performance information The show is 75 minutes long with no intermission. The house opens 20 minutes before the top of the show and one of the performers will be on stage right sculpting. The show crew must be in position as soon as the house opens. Theatre Junction s stage manager will call all sound, video and lighting cues from the booth. The sound board must be set up at the back of the house in the audience. 9. Costumes and props A wardrobe person will be needed to wash, iron, and repair costumes when necessary. 10. Facilities The Presenter will supply the following: Spring water (no carbonated water) and10 bath towels placed in the dressing rooms. A tray of fresh fruit and snacks with a selection of fruit juices and soft drinks. Dressing rooms: The Company requires 2 large dressing rooms for 8 people. The dressing rooms must be in good order, clean, properly heated and secure. Each dressing room should be equipped with sufficient lighting, tables and chairs, mirrors, toilet and showers, clothing racks and hangers. Updated as of Nov 12, 2008 5
Production Office: The Company would appreciate the use of a production office to make phone calls, do accounting and send faxes. The office should contain a table and chairs, electricity and an external phone line. Laundry/Wardrobe: The Company will need access to a washing machine, dryer, an ironing board and an iron for laundering costumes. Recording: The Presenter will take all steps necessary to ensure that no recordings of the performance be made, in whole or in part, by microphone or video or still camera. The use of any camera, with or without flash, will not be tolerated during rehearsals or performances. 11. Local contacts The Presenter must provide names and telephone numbers for medical services in the community: 24-hour emergency unit - General Practitioner - Chiropractor - Physiotherapist - Osteopath Dentist Massage therapist.
