Performance Suggestions Your hymn arrangement is designed be very flexible in accommodating many different instruments. Along ith stard brass quartet/quintet timpani parts you ill also find parts ritten for duet /or trio instruments. The uet parts are interchangeable beteen different instruments so that if you have a trumpet, al sax trombone (or any or combination), each instrument may use its on part, you can have m alternate beteen 1 st, nd descant parts. You may ant use parts for first verse, solo or unison melody ith different instruments on various middle verses, n parts ith descant on final verse. It s your choice depending on your needs abilities of your musicians. The brass arrangement ill ork as a trio, quartet, quintet, large brass choir or even a b of mixed brass, ind string instruments. All parts are marked ith doublings substitutions, performance suggestions are listed on botm of page. You may ant begin hymn ith a brass introduction eir entire verse, or a portion of it n have m play ith congregation for 1 st verse; second verse can be accompanied by piano/organ alone ( guitars if you have m); for third verse you may ant feature a solo instrument ith piano/organ, n bring in entire ensemble along ith descant for final verse.
