Joint closures Product family NC-400 Product family NC-400 joint closures are designed to provide pressure-tight environmental protection for optical fibres and optical fibre splices regardless of the cable design. All closures are butt-joint type having a frame with an end plate with cable inlets and a round or four-cornered cover. Closures can be installed directly to the ground, a manhole or a pole. The material of the closures is acid-proof stainless steel, and closures are available for fibre quantities 12 288 pcs. Universal joint closure NC-400 Universal joint closure NC-400 can be used in trunk and access networks for jointing and branching optical fibre cables. The closures are delivered as pre-assembled kits for 48, 96, 192 or 288 fibre splices. Capacity for 288 single fibre splices. Can be used for the mid-span access. Dimensions 487 x 185 x 145 mm. Cable inlets: an oval inlet with inner measurements 60 x 23 mm; 6 round inlets with inner diameter 23 mm; possibility to enter 2, 3 or 4 drop cables through every round inlet. Beach joint NC-400W Beach joint NC-400W is based on our earlier joint closure model, and it is designed for applications where an underwater cable is jointed to a buried cable. Dimensions of a NC-400W are 435 x 185 x 145 mm. NC-400W has 2 inlets (inner diameter 16 mm) for underwater cables and one inlet (inner diameter 23 mm) for commonly used direct buried cables. The capacity of the closure is for 192 fibres. NC-400 product family includes all accessories for splicing optical fibre cables except fibre protection sleeves. Splice cabinet NC-350 Splice cabinet NC-330 for indoor installation Splice cabinet NC-330 is used for changing outdoor cables to fire safety, non-metallic and flexible indoor or indoor/outdoor cables e.g. in equipment rooms. The cabinet is designed for direct wall installations and it is suitable for different cable constructions. Cables can be taken into the cabinet from the top or from the bottom. During installations the cable inlets can be removed for helping the installation work. Cabinets can be joined together by mounting them over each other to one big splice cabinet consisting of even three single splice cabinets. NC-232 is also available as a pre-terminated patch panel with a non-metallic and indoor/outdoor cable with 12, 24 or 48 single-mode fibres. The standard lengths of these pigtail cables are 5, 15, 25 or 50 m, but the customized lenghts are also available. Pre-termination is done according to FIN2012 colour coding, but other colour coding standards like ANSI/TIA/EIA 598 are also possible. Termination kit NC-140 for FTTH applications If you are looking for an easy to install termination solution for a FTTH applications, this termination kit has everything you need. Termination kit consists of a termination box NC-140 which is installed on the outer wall of the house and a pigtail cable kit NC-105 with one, two or four fibres which is installed inside the house. Apart from these, the kit doesn t require other special equipment or skills inside the house, and therefore installation is easy and can even be made by the end-users themselves. Connection cabinet NC-2000 Connection cabinet NC-2000 is designed specially for FTTX applications. It is based on 19 mechanics, and it gives a possibility to place fibre terminations and active equipment to the same cabinet. The cabinet is available in sizes 800 (W) x 600 (D) x 2000 (H) mm, 800 (W) x 800 (D) x 2000 (H) mm and 800 (W) x 600 (D) x 2200 (H) mm. NC-2000 is supplied with accessories for handling a big number of fibres in terminations and in connections. ODF frame NC-2200 ODF frame NC-2200 is a modular fibre optic cross-connection frame for equipment rooms giving big fibre capacity, high packing density and excellent management for incoming cables and for patch cords. NC-2200 is based on 19 mechanics having space for up to 40 patch panels with each for 48 or 96 fibres depending on the connector type (SC or LC). For terminating optical cables to the NC-2200 ODF frame incoming cable has to be spliced first to non-metallic and flexible indoor/outdoor cables outside the frame using e.g. splice cabinet NC-330 (outdoor cables are generally too big and stiff for taking into the ODF frame). Small and flexible indoor/outdoor cables are preterminated to NC-232 patch panels which are mounted to NC-2200 ODF frame. Therefore these pre-assebled NC-232 patch panels with 48 or 96 fibres are part of this ODF solution. Optical distribution frame (ODF) based on 19 mechanics Dimensions: W900 x D300 x H2200 mm. Other accessories Pigtails & pigtail sets Optical fibre pigtails for termination boxes and for patch panels are delivered as single fibres with standard yellow colour or colour-coded sets with 12 fibres. Their type is according to the standard ITU-T G.652.D single-mode fibre. The length of the pigtails and pigtail sets is 2 m and they can be chosen from the connector types SC/UPC, SC/APC, LC/UPC and LC/APC. Connector adapters Connector adapters for termination boxes and for patch panels are available for single-mode fibres with types SC simplex, SC duplex (SC-D), SC/APC simplex, SC/APC duplex, LC duplex (LC-D), LC quad (LC-Q), LC/APC duplex and LC/APC quad. All the adapters have zirconia sleeves and blue body for ordinary single-mode fibre connections and green for APC connections. The adapters are made by the leading manufactures of the world, Seikoh Giken and Senko. Fibre protection sleeves These very important components for splicing optical fibres are available with lengths 45 and 61 mm. Each pack contains 100 pieces. Their capacity is for 48 fibres, size 310 x 153 x 13,5 mm and materials powder-painted steel plate and acrylic glass as a cover. These products can be ordered individually packed or in bigger packages including 10 pieces each. Patch cords For connecting optical fibre terminations to active equipment Nestor Cables offers single-mode fibre simplex or duplex patch cords with SC/UPC, SC/APC, LC/UPC and LC/APC connectors.
