! Explore and discuss the concept Truth & Reality in respect to the possible focuses! Philosophical eg process v s product, ways of thinking/living reflected in the artwork

! Research artworks from a wide variety of artists that depict different philosophies. Students should identify the philosophy and how the philosophies are reflected in the artworks created. In particular students should research modern, conceptual and postmodern artists with a unique perspective/philosophy

Activity 1! Sketch your own copy of one work from one the artists listed in slide 6.! Write a journal entry relating to your sketch explaining: your mood, techniques, materials, why you chose that particular image and what you believe the artist s intention was.

Activity 2! Recreate the chosen piece/sketch by adding your own personal stamp to the image! Your manipulated/altered image must reflect you and you view of art. Eg By replacing the image of Marilyn Monroe in Warhol s Marilyn Diptych with Marilym Manson you are making a social comment on celebrity/fame and highlighting your own tastes/personality.

Activity 3! Justify your artistic choices for activity 2-100 words.

Activity 4! Complete a self portrait in your preferred style (Eg realism/abstract/cartoon)! Your portrait should convey how you see yourself and should reference artists/images that you have been influenced by.

Week 4- Activity 5! Review drawing task form Friday! Journals- add colours/charcoal! Find examples of art/photography/design in various magazines! What art philosophies are represented?! Explain?
