SY-VCA-BUSINESS-INTELLIGENCE DATASHEETS DIGIEYE VCA Business Intelligence VIDEO ANALYTICS Video Analytics for Business Intelligence Applications & Video Analytics software option for DigiEye DVR/ HVR/NVR products. The DigiEye VCA-BUSINESS-INTELLIGENCE is an optional software licence for DigiEye DVR/HVR/ NVR product line. Video-based Counting and Heatmap functions on multiple IP/analog video inputs of DigiEye. This software-only license enables on-digieye video processing of multiple Analog/IP video inputs to deliver accurate video analytic functions, without the need of any additional dedicated hardware. No additional hardware is required. The Counting and Heatmap features can be activated simultaneously for one or more analog or IP cameras. The video analysis features enabled by VCA-BUSINESS-INTELLIGENCE software license are People Counting and Heatmap. DIGIEYE VCA BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DIGIEYE VCA BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE The DigiEye VCA Business Intelligence features are Video Analytics software options for DigiEye DVR/HVR/NVR products. A DigiEye VCA Business Intelligence license enables video-based Counting and Heatmap (Maps of Presence) functions on multiple IP/analog video inputs of DigiEye to respond in a targeted manner to specific needs for security and statistics. The DigiEye VCA features, that have been primarily designed for surveillance in vertical applications such as retail and public places, go well beyond mere video security: they, indeed, provide Business Intelligent elements useful to management and marketing for decision-making and optimizations. The People Counting function allows to count of the number of persons passing through one or more virtual sensors. These virtual sensors are defined on a camera image and are sensitive to transits in a given direction. There can be multiple virtual sensors within the same scene allowing to control multiple gates or areas using a single camera. The Heatmap function allows to produce statistic maps on the occupation of areas. The statistics are available on the image of the scene, where the occupied areas are highlighted with different maps in pseudo colors providing some immediate and clear indications on which are the hottest (i.e. the most popular) areas within the scene. The People counting and Heatmap functions don t require any additional hardware besides DigiEye: the users only need to update the software and add the license that activates the VCA functionalities on one or more video inputs! These functions can run simultaneously on any analog or IP video inputs of DigiEye. The number of DigiEye video input channels which can be enabled to run these functions depends on the DigiEye model and hardware.

DigiEye can send periodic counting reports by email and/or save them to shared network storage. Counting data can be accessed via direct web-link from Microsoft Excel. This kind of data is particularly useful when combined with information on sales: they, indeed, provide details on the types of customers / visitors during different times of the day or different days of the week. INCLUDED IN LICENCE: COUNTER & VIDEO ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS 1 channel license enables both Counter and Heatmap to operate simultaneously on 1 DigiEye video input COUNTER FUNCTIONS INCLUDED IN LICENCE Counting function based on video image analysis. Ability to count people and vehicles. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Simultaneous counting of multiple people entering/exiting. Separated in and out counts. Up to 4 counting sensors per camera. Each sensor is associated to a counter, stored on DigiEye disk. Multiple sensors can increment/decrement the same counter in order to obtain occupancy/presence counter. Counters storage resolution: real-time (for short periods of observation), 1min, 10min, 1h (for long periods of observation). Counter max. DB storage events (per resolution) : 200K(RT) / 50K(1m) / 20K(10m) / 10K(1h). Up to 12 months of data storage (1h resolution counters). Counter storage method: overwrite oldest data. Configuration of counting sensors from local DigiEye user interface or via network using Teleconfiguration tool from a DigiEye Center. Audible feedback to test counting function during setup (on DigiEye models equipped with internal buzzer). Daily/hourly report of all counters can be monitored from main local console. Send periodic counting reports via email every hour/day/week/month. Save periodic counting reports to shared network storage every hour/day/week/ month (FTP/SMB/NFS). Access counting data via direct web-link from Microsoft Excel. Analysis and display of counting results as graphical diagrams or tables using Excel. Recommended setup for people counting: best results are obtained with cameras directly placed overhead in zenithal position over area of passage at a height from 3 to 5 meters (9,84-16,4 ft). Camera with vertical tilt angle <20 is possible but counting accuracy will be reduced. Controlled lighting and non-reflective pavement is recommended to obtain best counting results. Stable camera mount is required, unstable/vibrating video will not work. Recommended IP camera video settings: 640x360 or 640x512 at 25fps. FUNCTIONS INCLUDED IN LICENCE Statistical occupancy function based on video image analysis. One heatmap analysis per camera. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Heatmap image is made of a matrix of colored dots, each representing the statistical occupation with colors ranging from blue (cold areas) to red (busy areas), superimposed on a reference frame of the camera image. Heatmap image can be instantly obtained for any heatmap-enabled camera and for any time interval within the recorded period. Heatmap metadata stored on DigiEye disk (~30 Kbit/s per camera). Heatmap image resolution corresponds to the video mode set in DigiEye (from 640x480 to 768x576) Configuration of heatmap sensor from local DigiEye user interface or via network using Teleconfiguration tool from a DigiEye Center. Send periodic heatmap images via email every hour/day/week/month. Save periodic heatmap images to shared network storage every hour/day/week/ month (FTP/SMB/NFS).
