CONNECTING THE CONVERTER BOX TO YOUR TV WITH RF JACK To Antenna Jack on external Television To AC Wall Outlet From RF Out Jack on the rear of unit. To RF In Jack on the rear of unit. To DC IN Jack on the rear of unit. From Antenna 1. Connect your existing antenna cable to the RF IN jack of the converter box. 2. Connect the supplied RF coaxial cable from RF OUT jack of the converter box to the antenna jack of the external Television. 3. Insert the small plug from supplied AC/DC Adapter into the DC In jack on the rear of the unit. 4. Insert the supplied AC/DC Adapter to any wall outlet having AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz. 5. Set the connected TV to CH 3 to receive the TV signal from the unit. (Note: The default RF output of the unit is Channel 3). NOTE: This AC/DC Adapter is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or floor mount position. 7

Connect your existing antenna cable to the RF IN Jack of the converter box. 2. Connect the supplied RCA ( Video/Audio) cables from VIDEO/AUDIO jacks ( Yellow, White, Red ) of the converter box to the Video/Audio jacks of the external Television. 3. Insert the small plug from supplied AC/DC Adapter into the DC In jack on the rear of the unit. 4. Insert the supplied AC/DC Adapter to any wall outlet having AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz. 5. Set the input source of the connected TV to AV in. NOTE: This AC/DC Adapter is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or floor mount position. 8
CONNECTING THE CONVERTER BOX TO YOUR VCR To Antenna Jack on the TV. From RF Out Jack on the VCR. To RF In Jack on the VCR. From RF Out of the unit. To DC In jack on the rear of unit. To the RF In Jack on the unit. From Antenna To AC Wall Outlet 1. Connect your existing antenna cable to the RF IN Jack of the converter box. 2. Connect the supplied RF coaxial cable from the RF OUT Jack of the converter box to the RF IN jack of the VCR. 3. Connect the other RF coaxial cable ( Not Included ) from the RF OUT jack of VCR to the antenna jack of the external Television. 4. Insert the small plug from supplied AC/DC Adapter into the DC IN jack on the rear of the unit. 5. Insert the supplied AC/DC Adapter to any wall outlet having AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz. 6. Set the connected VCR to CH 3 to receive the TV signal from the unit. Set the connected TV to the channel as the VCR out. (Note: The default RF output of the unit is channel 3). NOTE: This AC/DC Adapter is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or floor mount position. SETTING IN FIRST TIME When power on the unit in first time or after user reset, the follows picture will appear. Follows the on screen instruction to set up the unit as follows: 9
Press the Direction or button to select and highlight the function you need to set. Press the Direction or button to set. When finished, press the OK button to confirm the settings and exit. 1. OSD Language: To select and set the On Screen Display language. 2. Signal Type: To select and set the TV source to Air or Cable to match the TV system you are. (If you do not know the TV system you are, please consult the TV signal provider in your area). 3. When selected, press the Direction to auto search and stored the available TV stations. BASIC OPERATION 1. Connected the unit to power and external devices as previous procedures. 2. Press the (Power) button on the unit or remote control to power On/Off the unit. 3. When power on the unit in first time or after user reset, set up the unit as the section of Setting in First Time Use on page 9. 4. After setting, Press the CH or button on the unit or CH or on the remote control repeatedly to select the desired available channel. Or, Press the numeric and "-" (Dash) buttons to select the desired available channel directly. For example, press the buttons "3" + "2" + "-" + "2" to select and watching channel 32-2. 5. Press the V (Volume) + or button on the remote control to set volume level. 6. Press the EPG button to read the Electronic Program Guide. (Function depends on the Digital TV signals emit from TV station.) 7. Press the Mute button to turn off the sound temporary, press again to turn it back. 8. Press the AUDIO button repeatedly to select the audio channel. (Function depends on the Digital TV signals emit from TV station.) 9. Press the SIGNAL button to read the signal level of current station, press again to turn it off. 10. Press the RETURN button to return to previous station. 11. Press the ASPECT button repeatedly tosetto4:3or16:9tomatchthe aspect ratio of the connect TV and playing program. 12.Press the OSD (On Screen Display) button repeatedly to read (and turn off) the information of current status. 13. Press the FAV (Favorite) button, the favorite list will appear on the screen. Use the Direction and OK button to edit the list as desire. After edit, press the FAV + or button repeatedly to select the channel in the list. 14.Press the CC (Close Caption) button repeatedly to activate and set the CC functions. MENU Press the MENU button, the setting menu will appear on the screen, use the Direction, OK and EXIT buttons to set or reset the settings. 10
Program: If Program is selected, the follows screen will appear: 1. If program Edit is selected, use the Direction and OK buttons to Move, Skip, Lock, Delete or Rename the programs as the on screen instructions. (Note: Password is needed to enter.the default password is "000000"). 2. If EPG is selected, the Electronic Program Guide will appear on the screen Use the Numeric, Direction, OK and EXIT buttons to read and/or exit the program guide. Picture: If Picture is selected, the follows screen will appear: Use the Direction, OK and EXIT buttons to set the aspect ratio to match the aspect ratio of the connected TV and playing program. 11
Channel Search If Picture is selected, the follows screen will appear: 1. If Auto Search is selected, press the Direction buttontoautosearchand stored the available TV stations. 2. If Manual Search is selected, use the Direction and OK buttons to search and stored the available station one by one as the on screen instructions manually. 3. If Signal Type is selected, press the Direction button repeatedly to set to Air or Cable to match the TV system you are. (If you do not know the TV system you are, please consult the TV signal provider in your area). 4. If RF Output Channel is selected, press the Direction button repeatedly to set the RF output channel from the unit to CH 3 or 4. (After settings, make sure your connected TV or VCR is in the same channel. Otherwise, the picture on your TV is incorrect). TIME If Time is selected, the follows screen will appear: 12
1. If Country Region is selected, use the Direction and OK button to select and set the region you are. 2. If Sleep is selected, use the Direction and OK button to activate and set the sleep timer as desire. After settings, the TV will turn off as the sleep timer settings. To power on again, press the (Power) button. 3. If Power On/Off is selected, use the Direction and OK button to activate and set the auto power ON or auto power OFF timer as the on screen instructions. 4. If Daylight Time is selected, press the Direction button repeatedly to turn it on or off to match the summer time your area is. OPTION If Option is selected, the follows screen will appear: 1. If OSD Language is selected, press the Direction button repeatedly to select and set the language of On Screen Display. 2. If Audio Language is selected, press the Direction button repeatedly to select and set the first priority of available audio language of current TV program. (Function depends on the signal emit from TV station). 13
SYSTEM If System is selected, the follows screen will appear: 1. If Parental Guidance is selected, use the Direction and OK button to select and set the rating level as on screen instructions. (Password is needed to enter; the default password is 000000 ). 2. If Set Password is selected, use the Direction and OK button to reset the password as on screen instructions. (After setting, write down your NEW pass word then keep it in safety place.) 3. If Restore Factory Default is selected, reset all settings to factory default settings as on screen instructions. After reset, all the stored stations, password, favorite list will be reset. 4. If information is selected, press the Direction button to read information of the unit. Press the EXIT button to exit. 14
(The default setting of the RF Output is CH3). Make sure you have correctly selected the audio settings. If no TV signal received over half hour, the TV will turn off automatically to saving energy.
