Example Can you identify the TEES in the following paragraph? The McDonalds print advertisement shows text over the image of their signature Big Mac hamburger. The text shows irony, meaning that when you eat a boring, bland salad to be healthy, you really want to eat a Big Mac because it tastes better. The advertisement persuades the reader by juxtaposing and contrasting the word salad with the picture of the Big Mac behind it. The language is a statement which the reader would agree with. 2.
