ADF Module Installation Guide 1.1 Overview The installation sheet is divided into three sections. Section 1.2 Description on page 2 describes the areas on the frame and modules dedicated to the mounting of the modules to the frame. Section 1.3 Installation on page 5 provides a step by step procedure for mounting the modules. Modules are marked L and R for installation on the left and right side of the frame. See Asssembly Parts on page 4 for a larger view of the areas on the frame. Installation requires #2 and #3 Phillips head screwdrivers. 1.3 Installation 1.3.1 Installing the Module Assembly 1. For cabled modules, route the IF cable toward the back, between the latch bar and frame. Position the module on the ADF frame. 2. Align the module slide pins with the frame keyways and slide the module back until it stops. Insure both pins are fully engaged. 3. Close the module trays into the latch bar. The tray should latch easily. If not, go to 1.3.3 Adjusting the Latch Bar, if required on page 5. 4. Secure one module onto the frame. 5. Align the holes on the module with the threaded holes and insert the screws provided. 6. Tighten the screws. 1.3.2 Installing the Next Module Assembly 1. Attach the dust cover on the top tray of the previously mounted module. 2. Repeat the steps in 1.3.1 Installing the Module Assembly on page 5 for each additional module. 1.3.3 Adjusting the Latch Bar, if required Perform this procedure only with the first installed module per quadrant. All modules in the quadrant are affected. 1. Secure one module on the frame. Align the holes and insert the screws. Support the module so that it does not fall while you insert the screws. 2. Tighten the screws. 3. Loosen the six adjustment screws (three inside, three outside) holding the quadrant latch bar to the frame extenders. 4. Move the latch bar so that the module trays slide smoothly into the latch bar. 5. Retighten all six of the adjustment screws. The quadrant is now aligned. 6. Proceed to 1.3.2 Installing the Next Module Assembly on page 5. Page 5
