Culture is catching with venues and public spaces across Offaly as our doors open to host a programme of FREE entertainment as part of a national celebration of arts and culture. Now in its eight year, Culture Night Offaly brings you a spectacle of song, music, visual arts, dance and so much more. New and existing work reflects on the role of art and ecological practices in highlighting historical and contemporary complexities of land use. Curated by Denise Reddy. TULLAMORE ÁRAS AN CHONTAE SONIC POLLINATORS (Short Film) 9.30am 7.00pm A short film created by artist, Julie Spollen documenting the work of composer Karen Power who made multiple visits to Offaly in 2017 to listen and make full frequency recordings of bees, plants and their surrounding habitats and the resulting live performance featuring Quiet Music Ensemble. AUTUMN IN BEAUTIFUL PRAGUE 9.30am 7.00pm Tullamore Camera Club explore through photography the city of Prague with an exhibition of the visual gems of the City of a Hundred Spires. In October 2017, members of the Club visited Prague and were inspired by its sights and architecture, capturing the vibe of the city. Assembling the talent of some of Offaly s choirs - one unique performance of choral delights with classical, pop, rock and gospel. The midlands only VR studio present the incredible world of Virtual Reality / 360 short films with the award winning Aurora from Pink Kong Studios; Allumette by Penrose Studios, a sad tale loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen's short story, The Little Match Girl. In addition, a 360 sneak peak of Faoladh, a tale of a Celtic boy in the late 9th century Ireland with an impending Viking invasion, and
