To enable optimal presentation standardize Fallbacks are delivered in Internet Ex plorer 8,9 and 10 on tablets and on desktop devices. In regard to the Fallback we would like to remind that those are also on tablets. Consider the specific positioning. (see Point 11. Positioning Graphics). *** All Fallback sizes must be delivered. 02. Delivery Details (Client to UIM) 02.1st Adverts must be delivered at least 7 working days in advance of the start of the campaign. United Internet Media can take no responsibility for the punctual launch of a campaign and its faultless integretation if adverts are not delivered punctually. 02.2nd If 3rd parties are involved they must provide all individual motifs at the time of integration. 3rd party involvement is only possible as iframe-delivery (iframe HTML-Tag) 02.3rd The delivery of Fallback graphics is necessary if the ad cannot be displayed in a browser for technical reasons. Should not Fallback be delivered, UIM reserves the right to create a Screenshot of the ad and use it instead. 02.4th Up to 5 different click tags can be integrated into an advert. In order to be able to do this, United Internet Media needs precise instructions allocating each click tag to its appropriate URL. 02.5th Advert labeling: The advertising media must be clearly recognizable as an advert and may only imitate, copy or change page content after consent from United Internet Media. If necessary it must be labeled, e.g. with the words Advert or Display. 02.6. The width of the homepages varies depending on the resolution of the browser, see Point 11. This influences the display of the advert. 02.7th The design of the advertising medium shall always be coherent and harmonious. Individual elements of the medium should thus be aligned with each other. This is meant to avoid reactances on the part of the user. Should the provided media not suit tour internal quality standards, UIM reserves the right to demand an adjustment. 02.8th Adverts must be delivered crossbrowser-comptaible. In case of IE 10 or older versions, a Fallback is delivered. 03. Delivery Details (UIM to User) 03.1st Adverts will partly be played in iframes on United Internet Media marketed portals. 03.2nd A change of advert or motif during the campaign may only be implemented with tested adverts and after prior agreement from UIM. 03.3rd United Internet Media reserves the right to refuse adverts that are faulty, have reaction provoking design or do not adhere with the general conditions for the delivery of adverts (https://www.united-internet-media.de/en/downloadcenter/generalguidelines/). 03.4th Adverts should be tested in advance to ensure their compliance with regulations and provisions concerning the protection of minors. In accordance with the relevant age restriction rules, United Internet Media reserves the right to limit the access/broadcasting time of the advert or to refuse the motif entirely. 03.5th United Internet Media reserves the right to determine and use a frequency capping prior to delivery of the advert. 03.6. United Internet Media reserves the right to track all adserver-deliveries (vietracking, clicktracking). This has to be possible at any given time. 04. Adserving 04.1st If there are no other agreements, the delivery of the ad format will take place via the United Internet Media ad server. www.united-internet-media.de 3
04.2nd External counting pixels can be integrated. These must be independent from the relevant click commands. 04.3. Measuring view time/visibility of the application or other enhanced tracking procedures with script employment must first be communicated to and coordinated with UIM. UIM reserves the right to refuse this type of tracking. Tracking is only possible in iframe. 04.4th 3rd party ad serving is possible. Before each campaign it will be checked by United Internet Media. 04.5th 3rd party ad serving of flash elements is not possible when the video files are hosted by the ad server of United Internet Media. 05. Advertising Media Features 05.1st The advertising format of the Cinematic event scales its width dynamically to the width of the homepage. Depending on the size of the browser window used, 2, 3 or 4 columns are delivered. 05.2. Design criteria for the advert 1. Uniformity No presentation of non-related, individual products Background elements related to the product or the advertised brand are allowed 2. Page sector In the page sector of the advert there may be a maximum of 4 elements presented (products and logo) 3. Animation(s) 4. Text Starting animation: max. 5 seconds long Permanent animation: only within a cognitively separated area. This area can be shifted within the ad while the video is being played. Special case Skyscraper: synchronously blinking elements should be forgone if possible. The advert must not contain texts resembling editorial content, e.g. phrasing such as Breaking News, Headline or anything similar. The must always be able to distinguish between editorial content of the portals and advertisements. 06. Audio 06.1. Sound may not automatically start in adverts, except when delivered on the logout page. However, this can be controlled by user interaction. Sound is set to Off in the initial state. The following applies for user interaction: Mouse click on button Sound On or on the loudspeaker symbol. If delivered on our German websites: Mouse Over does not apply for user interaction! If delivered on our Austrian and/or Swiss websites: Moving the cursor in the area of the advert in which the video is played (Mouse Over). In this case the Audio has to stop if the cursor is moved away (Mouse Out). 06.2nd Tone in adverts must be regulated via well visible controls that can be turned on and off as well as regulated (sound) by the user. www.united-internet-media.de 4

Video (Physical Delivery) 07.1st Digital raw material should be delivered in the best possible format. For optimum picture quality the raw data should be delivered in a resolution of min. 720 x 576 Pixeln up to 1920 x 1080 with frame rates of 25, 30, 50 or 60 fps. The following formats are accepted: AVI, DV, MPEG2, WMV and MOV. The files should not be DRM protected. United Internet Media undertakes the encoding. 07.2nd Already encoded videos must be delivered in the MP4 format with a resolution of 720x576 pixels up to 1920x1080 pixels (16:9) and framerates of 25, 30, 50 or 60 fps. 07.3rd For integration of video in the advert a SWF with an own player technology must be delivered. 07.4th The integration of video in SWF must follow relatively. The streaming will be done through our high -performance UIM server. 07.5th Elements which are reloaded in SWF must be SSL-capable. 07.6th We recommend bandwidth detection by the creation of a video player and a broadband optimized delivery of the video in the advert (900 kb/s and 1500 kb/s) to be able to present the video to users with a low bandwidth as fast as possible. 07.7th Please consider that the video material must be delivered without pre- or post-idling (e.g. technical credits, black, white or other empty frames). For an optimal advertising effect, the advert should start and end with image and tone. 07.8th The length oft he video must be at least 5 seconds and unless otherwise specified may not exceed 30 seconds. 07.9th Automatic looping of the ad is not possible. 07.10th The video must be terminable at any time. 07.11th As control panel, a Sound On/Off, Stop, Pause/Play button has to be well visible. 08. Video (Redirect Delivery) 08.1st The video must be https enabled. www.united-internet-media.de 5
08.2nd For integration of video in the advert a SWF with an own player technology must be delivered. 08.3rd The length oft he video must be at least 5 seconds and unless otherwise specified may not exceed 30 seconds. 08.4th An automatic looping of the advert is possible. 08.5th It must be possible to terminate the video at any time. 08.6th As control panel, a Sound On/Off, Stop, Pause/Play button has to be well visible. 08.7th Please consider that the video material must be delivered without pre- or post-idling (e.g. technical credits, black, white or other frames). For an optimal advertising effect, the advert should start and end with image and tone. 09. Technische Requirements 10.1. Https is required for some special advertising formats of United Internet Media marketed portals. This also concerns 3rd party (counting pixels video). 10.2. Adverts may not exceed a processor load of 50% on standard PCs and netbooks. Example specification standard PC: Intel Pentium IV, 2,2 GHz, 1GB RAM. Example specification netbook: Intel Atom N270, 1,6 GHz, 1GB RAM. Reasons for a high CPU burden can amongst others include frame ratest hat are too high, quick colour change or animation. 10.3. If the advert contains overlapping transparent areas through which the site content can be seen, these areas must be through-clickable. If this is not possible, then the size of these areas must not cause user irritations. United Internet Media reserves the right to request a semi-transparent background for the advert or refuse the advert. UIM also reserves the right to exclude certain browsers from the delivery. 10.4. Polite Download: Polite Download is a technology which first loads a smaller initial file (swf, weight according to OVK specifications) and then downloads a larger file (up to 10 MB) once the site has been fully loaded (e.g. swf, video, graphics). Alternatively this reloading process can be started 5-10 seconds after the initial loading or by user initiation (click on button, mouse over). In the event of reloading, a differentiation between narrowband and broadband users should be implemented (especially for videos). Basically the reloading should not start after the initial loading, but after the above mentioned processes. Delivery via a 3rd party is possible if the above-mentioned processes are assured as well. 10. United Internet Media General Requirements The General Terms and Conditions still apply https://www.united-internet- media.de/en/general- terms-and-conditions/ and the general guidelines for advertising media https://www.united-internet- media.de/en/downloadcenter/general-guidelines/. A breach of the abovementioned points as well as such against applicable law will automatically lead to an advert being denied. www.united-internet-media.de 7
