VIERA Picture VIERA Picture 1080i Digital Processing Chip-Set 1080i Digital Re-mastering Processor This chip-set processes the full-hd video signal in its original condition, without down-conversion. The full-hd video signal allows the reproduction of highly expressive images with exceptional detail and full resolution. This processor up-converts a variety of video signals, such as those from analogue broadcasts and DVD movies, to provide a level of image quality that approaches full-hd. The resulting images have sharper details and more life-like realism. Standard-definition Re-mastering VIERA processes full-hd signals without affecting their specifications. The high potential of this processing chip also reproduces ordinary analog broadcasts in greater beauty. VIERA Picture VIERA Picture Real Gamma Control Real Black Creation Maximum 16-bit video processing makes it possible to reproduce images with 3,072 equivalent steps of gradation. The picture noise and black blocking that occur with insufficient gradation is suppressed even in scenes with intricate detail, fine textures and subtle expressions. VIERA Picture VIERA Picture Contrast Management System Advanced 3D Colour Management Original Panasonic technology optimises the contrast by matching it to the images in each scene. Instead of losing gradation by making part of the image too bright or too dark, this new technology applies just the right amount of contrast correction for each part of the scene. Colours are reproduced in all their natural vibrancy and beauty. This management system achieves precise control based on 3D management in the colour difference plane and brightness directions. Contrast Management System Clear Blue Fresh Green Enhancing dark areas washes out the highlights. Brightens the subject without changing the background. Vivid Red Strongly backlit scenes are produced with the background unchanged and only the subject compensated to give full, beautiful expression to both background and subject. Colour, brightness, and luminosity are independently detected to produce the optimal quality in each. This circuit detects motion patterns that tend to generate noise, and makes adjustments to maximize image quality This controller delivers smooth diagonal lines and sharp, crisp images in scenes with fine detail. VIERA Picture for LCD LCD AI In scenes with dark images, VIERA LCD reproduces crisp, deep blacks without over-emphasising the whites. The LCD AI adjust backlight brightness and contrast so that each scene has superior contrast and detail. * Except for 500series ACTIVE LIGHT CONTROL Bright scenes are sharper and easier to see. Dark scenes benefit from deeper, crisper blacks. This circuitry automatically detects the input signal brightness level and adjusts the backlight accordingly in real-time. The buttons used most often are larger than the others and grouped according to function. By making the panel glass thinner, we were able to increase the light transmission to create a brighter picture with less power. We're also proud to have achieved a VIERA lifetime of about 60,000 hours. The picture quality is better than ever, and the lifetime is a long 60,000 hours. Large,easy-to-see buttons Eco-friendly Design LCD Universal Design ensures easy operation for everyone, from kids to grandparents. Panasonic is actively working to eliminate the use of the six substances specified in the RoHS Directive of the European Union. Plans call for eliminating these substances from all Panasonic products at least a few year prior to the date on which the RoHS Directive takes effect. It's a Panasonic function that makes it possible to interlink a number of AV devices that are equipped with it.
