Incremental encoders redefined DFS60 a complete range of high-resolution, freely programmable incremental encoders in a standard 60 mm body size with all popular mechanical interfaces. With a maximum line count of 65,536 and an operating temperature range of up to 100 C, the DFS60 is in a class of its own. The generous spacing (30 mm) between the shaft bearings ensures excellent concentricity and extraordinary robustness. This makes the DFS60 ideal for harsh environmental conditions in all industrial applications. Encoder programming: Electronics become child s play! It takes a matter of seconds and can be re-programmed as often as required. Programming is carried out using a standard PC or Notebook. The DFS60 is connected via a USB programming tool. There is no need for an external power supply. Programming is carried out via the standard output cable/connector. The electronic label, e.g. article number and current programming, is read and displayed automatically. Users can then adjust the line count, output level and zero pulse width to match the requirements of their application and transfer them to the DFS60. 4 Product information DFS60 Sick 2010-10

With the help of the programming tool, users, system integrators and distributors can select any number of lines between 1 and 65,536 via their PC or Notebook. They can set the zero pulse width to 90, 180 or 270 and can define the output level. This results in reduced warehousing costs and immediate availability. This eliminates the need to stock or purchase preparameterised applicationspecific devices. The DFS60 is a universal device for determining angles, positions, speeds and accelerations in Automation technology. With the DFS60, there is no longer any need to purchase and prepare machineoriented line count versions.
