In 2019 we re assembling a group of talented performers to form a repertory company as part of their training, visiting schools and performing a range of plays and musicals for young audiences. Performances are offered at affordable rates, to cover the payment of royalties and a small contribution to production costs. We re sure you ll decide that these shows represent incredible value for your students. If your school would like to request a performance from our season, please scan and email the enclosed form to firstyear@stageschool.com.au or post to PO Box 111, Moreland VIC 3058. All performances require a large space, and are most suitable for schools with access to a large multi-purpose area, hall or theatre space. about the company. For over 30 years, Stage School Australia has advanced young people s personal skills through training in the performing arts. Our friendly and supportive classes develop kids natural abilities and foster a lifelong love of learning and creativity. We teach young children from 4 years old in our special pre-school Foundation program all the way up to young people aged 18 years. Our streams of performing arts training include the Australian Boys Dance Academy boys-only dance classes, Beginners OnStage song, dance & acting for young children, the Victorian Youth Theatre (VYT) drama and public speaking, and the Young Australian Broadway Chorus (YABC) musical theatre. The YABC and VYT also present shows created for young people presented by talented young casts. The recent YABC season of Wicked was a sell-out success, a troupe toured This Is Australia to 5 cities across the USA. In January 2019 the YABC will present their most ambitious production to date Les Misérables at The National Theatre Melbourne.
