Please support the Organ recital by Massimo Nosetti by attending on Sunday, April 21 at 3 p.m. at in Largo. Mr. Nosetti is an extremely talented Italian concert organist. You will not want to miss his varied and interesting program! Mr. Nosetti will also be presenting a very interesting workshop on Italian Organ music of the 18th and 19th centuries on Saturday, April 20th from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. The workshop is open to the community and free of charge. You will find more information about the recital and workshop on page 3 of this Newsletter. Also included in this newsletter, on Page 2, is the proposed slate of officers for 2013-2014. Please take time to read it. Thank you to all those who served on the Nominating Committee headed by Priscilla Ortoski and thank you also to those who have agreed to be nominated. I would like to thank the Executive Committee and all those who have helped during my term as your Dean. It has been a privilege to serve this fine organization. Make sure to save the date of the Spring Banquet, Monday, May 13, 2013. Dr. Laura Ellis our Regional Councillor will be with us to Install our new Officers and to speak to us about the guild. He is also the Professor of Organ and Composition at the National Conservatory in Cuneo, a member of the Diocesan Commission of Sacred Music and a consultant for the National Commission for Sacred Music. Mr. Nosetti will analyze works by Niccolo Moretti, Giovanni Morandi, Padre Davide da Bergamo, Antonio Petrali, Filippo Capocci, Marco Enrico Bossi, & Ulisse Matthey. This workshop is free of charge Now in its sixth year, the University of Florida's School of Music is proud to host this continuing education event geared specifically towards organists, choral directors, and church musicians. This year s workshop features a carillon recital, organ recital, choral reading session, a hymn festival, and exciting workshops by our nationally recognized clinician Dr. Michael Bedford.
