Welcome to the new face of the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso The Housing Authority of the City of El Paso, also known as HACEP, plays an important role in the lives of nearly 40,000 El Pasoans by providing safe, decent and affordable housing for assisted families. The new HACEP logo represents all of the hard work and dedication by everyone within the organization including the residents, the maintenance crews and the office staff. In order to maintain the positive and professional standard for which our organization is well known for, we have created an easy to understand set of requirements for the logo. These requirements will assist with the application of the new logo when creating a new design system. The consistent and proper implementation of the HACEP logo is important to maintain a professional, cohesive and consistent look throughout the entire organization for the duration that this logo is used. 4 Graphic Standards for the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso Logo

Elements SYMBOL LOGOTYPE The HACEP Logos Contain Two Elements: The symbol represents three important HACEP values: community, diversity and excellence. Community is evident by the circular arrangement of the houses; the variety of rich colors represents the diversity of ideas and people in our organization; and excellence is symbolized by the fivepointed star created by the roof tops. The placement of either the symbol or the logotype within the design must never be altered or have its proportions changed. The following sections of this manual outline the proper use of the HACEP logo and illustrate a variety of examples in which the logo is correctly and incorrectly displayed. 6 Graphic Standards for the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso Logo
Clear Space Requirements To Maintain A Consistent And Clear Visual Identity: The area around the HACEP logo should be uncluttered and free of any other elements such as type, busy photographs and other symbols. The minimum clear space required is equal to the height of the letter H from the logotype (the HACEP words with in the logo). The diagrams on this page demonstrate the proper use of the letter H to achieve the minimum amount of required clear space. The clear space requirements allow the viewer to have a uninterrupted look at the logo. This also gives the HACEP logo an element of priority.
