Introduction In Denmark, there is a growing interest in working across the spheres of contemporary music, experimental music, and sound art. New festivals see the light of day, musicians form new dynamic ensembles, and among the media and the audience there is an increasing interest in genre-breaking art forms.
The field of culture in Denmark is characterized by a strong public financial support to Danish artists, enabling them to present their work both in Denmark and abroad. The support program for music has established a strong tradition for fostering new composers and sound artists. As a result, the music scene in Denmark is vibrant and attracts lots of international attention.

An up-close performance reflecting the castle s anachronistic history and architecture with a mix of renaissance pastiche, neo-romantic choir parts, cinematic circus music for odd instruments, algorithmic electronic soundscapes and manipulated real sound samples. This sound world, the Hesbjerg Suite, was composed specifically for the occasion by Poul Udbye Pock-Steen.
