The Peak is indicated by a yellow colored triangle and Min is indicated by a white colored triangle. Level and frequency of the peak and Min are measured and displayed on the lower right side of the screen with respected color. c) Update on/off: In Min/Max hold mode, the currently measured spectrum in yellow color can be shown or not shown. d) 0-Span added Linear mode and Log mode: In linear mode, the Y-axis will be shown mv or uv, in Log mode, the Y-axis will be shown in dbmv. e) Add 100Hz VBW selection. f) Marker tracking: allows vertical markers or horizontal markers to be tracked or locked together. g) Burst QAM mode: This is a useful feature for Return Path Cable Modem QAM signal capture. Instead of using Max hold mode, the Burst QAM feature automatically captures short burst QAM pulses. h) CF + Span or Start + Stop frequency: By tapping on the CF or the Start box, the frequency program method can be changed. For large span application, for example, 100 MHz to 800MHz, using Start and Stop frequency entry is more convenient. 2. Additionally, the CX380 is able to view Scan Monitor (IGM Scan Monitor) spectrum mode of all 10 nodes in a CX180R-IGM. g) The Remote View option, once turned on in the Setup > Main menu, can be found in Advanced Tools in the main menu. 6. ReVeal CX300 New Feature support a) Remote Reset: This allows a ReVeal CX300 to remotely reset the CX380 in a remote site. Please note that the CX380 s IP connection must be set for Static IP mode with a preset IP address. b) Remote Spectrum Analysis: The standard remote control supports the spectrum analysis with a screen update rate about 1 per second. The Remote Spectrum analysis mode support fast screen update rate similar to what you can see on the CX380. c) Please note that Remote Control and Remote View must be purchased in order to support the Remote Reset and Remote Spectrum Analysis. 7. References Upgrading the CX300 series software CX300 series Once you have obtained and uncompressed the upgrade file (cx3xx-veex-arm.tar.gz), the software upgrade can be performed in two ways,: 1. Via USB Drive, by copying the uncompressed file to the root and then plugging it to the CX300 series. Turn the power OFF. Press the and buttons simultaneously, while powering the unit ON. The three buttons can be released once the confirmation beep is heard. 2. From the PC, connect to the CX300 using ReVeal CX300 application and use the Upgrade function in the Home / Software menu, or The unit must be connected to AC/DC charger at all times during the whole upgrade process. DO NOT turn it off at any time; the upgrade process will take several minutes and the unit will reboot itself at the end.
