Now allows the user to choose which mode the measurement starts in: Graph or Table. The setting has been added to the Setup/Main Menu, labeled Tilt A&D Start Mode. 3. HIP Auto Test: Improves occasional issue where one Digital channel may fail QAM lock. For such cases, the test will automatically be rerun in the background. With Step-By-Step = ON: o The user can now view the Analog or Digital measurements immediately, while the tests are in progress. Pressing the hard HOME key now allows the user to escape these tests. o Added the Summary of Failed results at the end of the test. For Step-By-Step = OFF mode: when the test is in progress, the soft HOME and X buttons have been removed. Accidentally pressing these buttons would cause the test to end. For HIP Profiles: increases the Font and Button sizes for easier selection. TP Compensation selector has been added to HIP Configuration Menus. 4. Return Path Sweep: Marker selection can now be done by tapping on the Frequency / Level region. When naming a new Return Path Sweep Table: resolves freeze/reboot issue when the label input has more than the 15 character limit. 5. In-Service Sweep: TP comp selection is now available Marker selection can now be done by tapping on the Channel / Level region. Corrects Set Reference and Get Reference labels to properly indicate In-Service Sweep. 6. Spectrum Analyzer: resolves issue for Analog video or audio peaks being skipped for certain combinations of a short RBW with a wide span. Resolves potential issue with illegal characters impacting V300 R-Server test reports for HIP Auto Test. 2. Resolves time zone issue when the CX380 meter synchronizes with the V300 R-Server. This would sometimes prevent a CX380 from getting a NEW status prompt for updated R-Server profiles. Note: after the SW upgrade, the unit clock may have shifted by a few hours. Perform a Check function with an applicable R-Server, or correct the clock manually. 3. Initial release for WiFi InSSiDer, which requires the WiFi 2.4G/5G USB Adapter. The InSSiDer feature is located under Tools / Advanced / WiFi InSSiDer. Feature highlights: SSID Scan for both the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz spectrum. Reports Channel Allocation with Signal Level in both tabular and graphical formats. 4. Remote View to CX18R System: Spectrum test now jumps to the selected Node Node ID drop down list is widened to properly display long Node names. 5. Return Path Sweep with CX180R System: Default attenuation is set to 5 db; corrects label error for TP. 6. Ethernet Tools: now supports IPTV features 7. Resolves potential internal noise spikes in the 12 to 14 MHz range that may appear in some units b. Markers may now be engaged by also tapping on the corresponding white box that displays Marker information 4. Implements new Results Manager feature 5. Return Path Sweep: user interface improvements for Cable Modem based IP connection 6. Supports CX180R architecture that includes a Data Forward Services server 7. R-Server: a. Corrects test set type issue when uploading HIP results. b. Additionally, the CX380 is able to view Scan Monitor (IGM Scan Monitor) spectrum mode of all 10 nodes in a CX180R-IGM. g) The Remote View option, once turned on in the Setup > Main menu, can be found in Advanced Tools in the main menu. 6. References Upgrading the CX300 series software CX300 series Once you have obtained and uncompressed the upgrade file (cx3xx-veex-arm.tar.gz), the software upgrade can be performed in two ways,: 1. Via USB Drive, by copying the uncompressed file to the root and then plugging it to the CX300 series. Turn the power OFF. Press the and buttons simultaneously, while powering the unit ON. The three buttons can be released once the confirmation beep is heard. 2. From the PC, connect to the CX300 using ReVeal CX300 application and use the Upgrade function in the Home / Software menu, or The unit must be connected to AC/DC charger at all times during the whole upgrade process. DO NOT turn it off at any time; the upgrade process will take several minutes and the unit will reboot itself at the end.
