Now every countdown program has a pre-warning tone ten seconds before the start. The pre-warning tone works only for intervals over 10 seconds in duration. 4.2 SWITCH COUNTDOWN INTERVALS (2) You can switch the countdown intervals at any time to a new position. Once you reach the new position, press the red button (1) to confirm the new countdown interval. 4.3 START OUTPUT TO START A TIMING DEVICE If you connect the two white banana jacks (4) on the Startbeep to another timing device (Start input), you can start the timer with the Startbeep. The timer starts with the beginning of the last beep (high tone) of the countdown. Page 5

4.4 SYNCHRONIZATION AND EXTERNAL HANDSWITCH The Startbeep can be synchronized with other timing devices through the green and black banana jacks (3). This makes it possible to control the lead and lag times. It is also possible to plug a hand switch into the green and black banana jacks (3) to start the manual countdown or horn. 5 PROGRAMS 5.1 PROGRAMS 1 9 (SWITCH POSITION 1-9) A fixed interval is programmed for each switch position between 1 and 9. If you press the red button (1) while you switch the device on the pre-warning tone is set. After you turn the switch to the position you need, you need to press the red button (1) to start the countdown. 5.2 USER PROGRAMMABLE INTERVALS Two countdown times can be programmed individually. You can store one on switch position A and the other on switch position B.
