ECHO s Missin ECHO is a musical rganizatin dedicated t the enhanced appreciatin and understanding f rchestral music, which may include cllabratin with ther arts rganizatins, within the Energy Crridr f Hustn, TX, and the surrunding cmmunities. ECHO seeks t share musical and arts experiences thrugh cncerts, private events, and educatinal prgrams that will strengthen the cmmunity. This is accmplished by prviding an pprtunity fr musicians (amateur, retired, teachers, prfessinal r semiprfessinal) t play and learn, encurage thers t becme interested in music thrugh cncerts and utreach prgrams, and t perfrm rchestral music in minimally priced public cncerts and events. Thrugh shared experiences such as these, musician s can realize their self-ptential, a spirit f genersity, and pprtunities fr grwth. ECHO is a 501(c)(3) nnprfit rganizatin. Rehearsal Lcatins Mst ECHO rehearsals will take place in the Orchestra Hall at Stratfrd High Schl. Dress rehearsals may be held at the cncert venue. Email updates will nte any special lcatins. YOU MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN STAND FOR ANY REHEARSAL NOT HELD AT STRATFORD. Stratfrd High Schl: 14555 Fern Dr., Hustn, TX 77079 Lcated between I-10 and Memrial Drive, n the east side f N. Dairy Ashfrd Rd. Enter the parking lts ff N. Dairy Ashfrd. Park in any space nt marked Reserved. ORCHESTRA HALL: Further away frm N. Dairy Ashfrd, fllw the sidewalk twards the cafeteria entrance. Right befre the cafeteria drs, enter the Orchestra Hall using the drs n the side f the semi-circular building. Occasinal schl events may result in parking being limited. Attendance Plicy ECHO members are expected t attend every rehearsal t ensure the ensemble s playing quality. The highest standard fr ur perfrmances can nly be reached if every member f ECHO attends every rehearsal. As scheduling cnflicts d ccasinally arise, hwever, it may be necessary fr a player t miss a rehearsal. In the event that yu cannt attend a rehearsal r d nt intend t play ne f the cncerts, please ntify the Cnductr r Persnnel Manager as sn as pssible. Musicians wh miss tw r mre regular rehearsals r the dress rehearsal fr a given cncert may nt perfrm in that cncert except by special permissin f the Cnductr. Musicians wh cnsistently miss rehearsals withut any explanatin will be asked t renunce their chair in the rchestra. Rehearsal Prtcl Rehearsals begin prmptly at 7:00 pm! Rehearsals will end at 9:30 pm, and will include a shrt 10-15 minute break. Plan t arrive t rehearsals at least 15 minutes prir t start time in rder t park, unpack, and be prperly warmed up and ready t rehearse at 7:00. If yu can cme early, please help set up chairs and stands and then at the end f rehearsal if yu have time please stick arund t put the rm back int its riginal cnditin. Always be prepared and take time t lk ver and practice yur parts as much as yu can n yur wn utside f rehearsals. Respect the Cnductr and fellw rchestra members. Always bring yur music, instrument, and pencils. Fr any rehearsals held at a lcatin ther than Stratfrd, yu must bring yur wn stand. If yu must miss a rehearsal, please ntify the Persnnel Manager r Cnductr as sn as pssible Other Ntes If yu have any suggestins, cmments, cmplaints, etc., please submit them t inf@echorchestra.rg. We will address these emails as we see necessary. Yu are respnsible fr bringing a music stand t any rehearsals that are nt held at Stratfrd, and t all perfrmances. Yu d nt need t bring a stand t rehearsals held at Stratfrd. Stands used at perfrmance shuld be slid black Manhasset-style. Since several cncerts are utdrs (New Years Eve, Memrial Day), yu may want t have a sturdy, heavy stand that will nt easily blw ver. Rtatin f seats in each f the sectins is at the discretin f the Directr r Sectin Principal. Rtatins are nly within the respective sectin (e.g., 2nd vilins remain in the 2nd sectin). Other sectins may rtate parts at the discretin f the Music Directr and Sectin Principals. All Unin members must turn in a rehearsal and cncert frm fr every cncert they participate in during this seasn. These frms will be passed ut at dress rehearsals.
