1 Installing the set-top box 1. Placement: The set-top box should be placed near your TV and your greenmulti socket. Please make sure the box is not covered and is positioned at the front of the shelf (for an optimal reception of the remote). Seite 3 von 19
2. Connecting the Ethernet cable: Now connect the Ethernet cable with the set-top box and your router. If you can place your router close to the set-top box we recommend using powerline adapters. With these adapters the Ethernet signal will be transmitted over your electrical lines in your house (more details in step 5). 3. Connecting the TV: Now you can connect the set-top box with your TV. We recommend using the HDMI cable for the optimal picture quality. LAN-Kabel HDMI-Kabel Seite 4 von 19
You can also connect your set-top box with the included RCA cable. 4. Connecting the power adapter Now the power adapter can be connected. Please only use the included power adapter for the set-top box. Seite 5 von 19
5. Starting the set-top box The set-top box will start automatically once it s the power has been connected. Turn on the TV now. If you re not receiving a TV signal, check if the set-top box is really turned on (green LED) and if your TV is on the correct channel (AV1 for RCA or HDMI1 for HDMI). 6. Entering the PUK You will now be asked to enter your PUK. You will find your PUK on our greentv signup letter. Enter the code with the number field on your remote and save it by pressing OK on the field Speichern. You only have to enter the PUK once. Seite 6 von 19

Choosing a channel To choose a show, our electronic program guide (EPG) is at your disposal. There are two ways to access the EPG: You can either press the TV button on the remote to access it directly or open the main menu with the menu button and navigate to the EPG from there. In the EPG you ll find an overview of all the shows and channels. With the arrow keys you can switch the show (left/right) or the channel (up/down). Once you ve decided on a current show, you can select it with the OK button and then using the menu item Switch to channel XY. Seite 8 von 19

2. Live-Pause With greentv you have the option to pause the current show whenever you like and to continue it from that time. To pause the current show, press the OK button. You will then see more details about the current show. From there, press the left arrow button to reach the menu Actions. In the menu playback you can pause the show. Here you can also choose other options, like replaying a recorded show or to restarting the current show from the beginning (as long as the channel supports this option). Once you ve selected pause, you will see that the show has stopped. You will also see a play symbol at the bottom of the screen and a pause symbol on the right. If you want to resume the show, press the play or ok button on the remote. Seite 10 von 19
To go back to the live show, press the stop button. 3. Recording a show To start recording a show, press the red REC button. As long as you re on the program information screen you ll see a red dot on the right side of the screen, which indicates that the show is being recorded. To cancel the recording, press the REC button again and confirm with OK. To record a future show, you have to use the EPG. Navigate to the show you want to record and press the REC button. A red dot will appear next to the show indicating that it will be recorded. If you require more recording time you can order it directly over the set-top box. Open the main menu and navigate to Settings. Then select the option self-service. Seite 11 von 19
Choose manage package, to buy additional recording time (npvr). Select Aufnahmezeit +20 and confirm with OK twice. Enter your PIN code to confirm the purchase. Recorded shows can be viewed at any time over the menu Recordings Under the menu Recordings you will find all the information about your recordings, which includes all running, paused, faulty and finished recordings. In addition, you can save recordings permanently so that they are not deleted after 90 days. Seite 12 von 19
4. Replay functions With greentv you have the possibility to watch shows retroactively. With the arrow buttons (left/right), you can choose the show and confirm with OK. Now choose the option watch from the beginning. Seite 13 von 19
4 Settings 1. Language You can change the language you chose at the first setup at any time. To do this, navigate to the menu item languages under the main settings menu. Here you can choose the language you prefer. 2. External audio If you want to connect an external audio system (e.g. Home Cinema System), you can connect it directly to the set-top box. To do so, connect the white and red plugs of the RCA cable directly to the controller of your audio system as well as the set-top box. Seite 14 von 19
3. Image size The image size is et automatically. If you want to influence it manually, go tot he menu and select settings. Navigate to the menu item Audio/Video Settings and then Format Settings. There you will find the screen/image size setting as well as various other settings. Seite 15 von 19
5 Additional Devices 1. Powerline To connect additional devices or if your router can not be placed close to the set-top box, we recommend using a powerline adapter. With it the Ethernet signal can be transmitted from the router to the set-top box via the power supply network. This allows you to easily connect other devices as well, since you can connect these to the power supply with the appropriate adapter. Seite 16 von 19
