External Equipment Connections Power Cord Connection - Connect the power cord correctly as shown. - Press the STANDBY switch of your LCD to switch ON.The power indicator on the front panel lights up in green Antenna Connection - Antenna or Cable Service without a Cable Box Connections - For optimum picture quality, adjust antenna direction if needed. Multi-family Dwellings/Apartments (Connect to wall antenna socket) Wall Antenna Socket RF Coaxial Wire(75ohm) VHF Antenna UHF Antenna Outdoor Antenna Single-family Dwellings/Houses (Connect to wall jack for outdoor antenna) Bronze Wire Be careful not to bend the bronze wire when connecting the antenna. In a poor signal area to improve picture quality, purchase and install a signal amplifier. VHF UHF If the antenna needs to be split for two TV s, install a 2-Way signal splitter in the connections. Antenna Signal Amplifier If the antenna is not installed properly, Contact your dealer for assistance. NOTE: Before connecting any external equipment, turn OFF all main power for safety. 10

AV INPUT Connection - Connect the VIDEO and AUDIO output jack of the DVD or VCR to the AV IN jacks on the set with RCA cable. 1 RCA Audio Cable TV Back - Match the jacks colors: Video=yellow, Audio left=white, and Audio right=red. - Select the AV input source with INPUT button. Connect the scart connector on the external video device to the scart connector on the LCD TV using a scart cable. PC INPUT1 NOTE: All cables shown are not included with the TV. S-VIDEO Connection - Connect the S-VIDEO output of the DVD or VCR to the S-VIDEO input on the set. The picture quality is improved compared to connecting a regular VCR to the video input. TV Back - Connect the Audio output of the DVD or VCR to the Audio input jacks on the set using the RCA cable. R S-VIDEO Cable L AUDIO Audio Cable - Connect the Audio output of the DVD or VCR to the Audio input jacks on the set using the RCA cable. - Insert a DVD or video tape into the DVD or VCR and press play. (Refer to the DVD or VCR owner s manual.) DVD/ VCR Back - Select S-VIDEO input source with INPUT button. DVDorVCR VCR Do not connect both VIDEO and S-VIDEO at the same time. PC Connection This TV has got Plug and Play capability. The TV sends configuration information (EDID) to the PC using the Video Electronics Standard Association (VESA) Display Data Channel (DDC) protocol. Stereo Audio Cable TV Back 2 - Connect the RGB output of the PC to the VGA IN jack on the set. - Connect the PC AUDIO output of the PC to the PCAUDIOINjackontheset. VGA Cable - Turn on the PC and set. - Select the VGA input source with INPUT button. AUDIO RGB-PC OUTPUT 1. To get the best picture quality, adjust the PC graphics card to 1024 x 768@60Hz. 2. If using a sound card, adjust the PC sound as required. 3.Check the image on your TV, there may be noise because of the resolution, vertical pattern, contrast or brightness in PC mode. If noise is present, change the PC mode to another resolution, change the refresh rate to another rate or adjust the brightness and contrast on the menu until the picture is clear. If the refresh rate of the PC graphic card can not be changed, replae the PC video graphic card or consult the manufacturer of the PC. 12

NOTE: All cables shown are not included with the TV. HDMI Connection - Connect HDMI output of the DVD to the HDMI input jack on the set. TV Back - Select the HDMI input source with INPUT button. HDMI Cable DVD or VCR Back DVD or VCR HDMI OUT Headphone Connection - You can connect a headphone to your TV if you wish to watch a TV program without disturbing people around you. - Insert a headphone into the 3.5mm mini-jack on the set. TV Back NOTE: 1. Prolonged used of headphones at a high volume may damage your hearing. 2. You will not receive the sound from speaker when you connect headphones to the system. 13
When using the TV for the first time, you must use AUTO SEARCH. TV will auto tune through the band, all programs found will be saved into memory automatically, press button to Auto Search. - Press / to select the sound mode of channel and ( BG/DK/I is for Europe ). - Press the button to select NO YES, then use the / buttons to select YES, then press LCD MENU to start the auto search. AUTO SEARCH PLEASE WAIT 0 252.75MHz - During searching, you can press to stop searching at any time, and return to the previous menu. LCD MENU
