Read the following passage and answer the questions given below. 10 Mystery is something that is difficult to understand or explain. A mystery sets the brain and the intellect going. In every mystery, there is an element of suspense also. Suspense is a state of mind in decision, uncertainty of excitement. We enjoy solving mysteries, problems and puzzles. We enjoy reading stories that have an element of suspense in them. But what is it in them that give us enjoyment? It is the sense of achievement in solving a mystery or a puzzle that we enjoy. It is the intellectual challenge which the reader or the spectator enjoys in a mystery. Answer the following questions. 1. What is mystery? 2. How does mystery help us? 3. What is suspense? 4. What do we enjoy? 5. What is it in a story that gives us enjoyment? 2.
