IS BEING ORGANIZED BY THE HUNGARIAN AND CENTRAL EASTERN EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF WIND BANDS AND ENSEMBLES /WASBE AFFILIATE/ AND THE 25 YEARS OLD PRIVATE MUSIC SCHOOL OF MAKÓ 25TH JUBILEE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FOR WIND BANDS WORLD CONFERENCE OF WIND BANDS MAKÓ, HUNGARY 17TH - 2018

Even 2 better musician is someone, then he knows how to initiate others into the blissful world of music, then he can better serve the big goal, that music should be for the whole people. (Zoltán Kodály) OUR DEAR GUESTS! DEAR MUSICIANS! 1 It is a rare moment in the life of a town, when it has a possibility to give place for a wind band world meeting, here, in the south part of Hungary. It is also rare moment, when 800 musicians are visiting our town from many cities of the world, representing the characteristic music pieces of their countries. For this we can thank to the teaching staff of Makó Private Music School and for its director, Dr. József Csikota, who is not only an ambassador of music, lecturer, organisator and standard-bearer in our town, but also in Europe and in the whole world as well. The above written Kodály-citation is representing that work, which is for nowadays twentyfive-years old, and which is characterized also for the music study in the Private Music School. It provides possibility for learning and doing the basics of different artistic branches for the children, who learn in peripheral schools, and who live in the villages nearby. The children are eudaceted for loving, respecting, understanding and doing these arts. The teachers of the school consider of important that personality-improving effect, which can be realized by the art educating, and which has nowadays suppletory role. It is able to help for creating the children s intellektual and emotional improvement, and for enriching their general educational view. They could show their talent more times on national, moreover, on international level, where they have achieved succes and qualifications. This kind of highlevel and tough educational work has formed the teachers and the pupils for a huge family, for a strong community, which connects the generations with each other. The aesthetical experience, provided by the music, helps with its soul-cleaning power to guide the members of this huge family toward the right way. Doing more for the world, than the world does for you it is really the key of succes?! Yes, I believe, the organization of world meeting is a great success for the orchestra, and also for our town. I am thankful for this cooperation and union. These helped to call this great event into being, in our art-supporter town. I cordially congratule to this preciseorganised event, which is internationally high-level as well. Thank you once again for that we can be a part of this high-level music meeting, and for this experience. I wish our guests a pleasant time here, in our town! I wish also our guest to get acquainted with our culture, turistic and historical values, traditions and with the sightseeings of Makó! Please, spread a good reputation on our town! I wish for the guest and for the hungarian orchestras much success, and professional, friendly, rich in experiences meeting! Erzsébet Éva Farkas Mayor of the town Makó
