Not that which we have exerienced - in a lane or instance but more seciically the ability to ly. This iece should give dierent ersectives o the incomrehensible nature o light; the unamiliar eeling o weightlessness; the joy at discovering this amazing git, and an almost heroic sel-conidence exressed by a somewhat virtuosic solo art. II Lament This movement, as imlied by the title, is a study o the emotions associated with loss o something close to the heart. Not just grie, extreme sadness, and ain, but also hoe, accetance and ond memories. This should have a marked contrast in character to the other two movements, with smooth lines in the Euhonium and orchestra. III Finale Now let's have some un! The inal movement is a chance or some liberation, both in character and in a more literal sense, with imrovisatory sections. An exloration o a number o dierent orms o jazz including 'Funk', 'Swing' and 'Cool Jazz', this should not become cartoon-like, desite a certain amount o humour.
