Christian is the respected curator of a contemporary art museum, a divorced but devoted father of two who drives an electric car and supports good causes. His next show is The Square, an installation which invites passersby to altruism. Meanwhile, the museum s PR agency has created an unexpected campaign for the installation. The response will send everybody into an existential crisis. Ruben Östlund s satire exaggerates the worst tendencies in our day and age, such as the responsibility of the media, and tackles the growing trend of individuality versus community. The Square is a sanctuary of trust and caring. Within it we all share equal rights and obligations. Ruben Östlund (Styrsö, Švedska, 1974.) studirao je na Univerzitetu u Geteborgu. Njegov treći film, Igra (2011.) prikazan je na Quinzaine des Réalisateurs u Kanu. Četvrti igrani film, Turista, osvojio je nagradu u programu Un certain regard i nominovan je za Oskara. Ruben Östlund (1974, Styrsö, Sweden) studied at the University of Gothenburg, where he met Erik Hemmendorff with whom he founded Plattform Produktion. After his debut, The Guitar Mongoloid(2005), he directed Involuntary (2008), which premiered in Cannes (Un certain regard). His third feature film Play (2011) was screened at Director s Fortnight in Cannes. His fourth feature, Force Majeure, was awarded Jury Prize in Cannes (Un certain regard), and was nominated for an Oscar. He won a Golden Bear in Berlinale 2010 for his short film Incident by a Bank. Most of them refuse to cooperate during the individual negotiations and they start to occupy their workplace. So when the

administration vanishes to their great surprise, they re left with a half-empty factory. As the world around them collapses, new desires start to emerge. In 1999, he wrote and directed his first feature film, Mes amis, featuring his brother Serge Hazanavicius. His next feature film, spy parody, OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (2006) was very successful and guaranteed the sequel - OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009), which was also a hit. Hazanavicius attracted the attention of the international audience by publishing the movie almost without a word - The Artist (2011), featuring his wife Bérénice Bejo and the star from OSS 117 Jean Dujardin. The film earned many nominations and awards.

Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1955, she began her career as a concept and media artist before turning to short and feature films as a writer and director. She has received more than 40 international awards for her work. Her film My 20th Century was chosen as one of the best 12 Hungarian films of all time. In 1992 she was a member of the Berlinale s International Jury. She teaches masterclasses in film at the University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest. She is a founding member of the European Cross Media Academy and a member of the European Film Academy. In 1990, Zvyagintsev graduated from the acting program at the Russian University of Theater Arts (GITIS), under the tutelage of Evgeny Lazarev. He went on to take part in independent theater productions and had a few bit parts in TV shows and movies. In 2000, he made his debut as a director. In 2003, Zvyagintsev shot his first feature film, The Return, which became one of the the cinema sensations of the year. A debut not only for the director but for the majority of the crew as well, it was accepted for the main competition at the Venice Film Festival, and won the top prize, the Lion. It also garnered the award for Best Debut, with the commendation: a sublime film about love, loss and coming of age. His second film,,was presented at the 60th Cannes Film Festival, where the lead, Konstantin Lavronenko, became the first Russian actor ever to receive the festival s award for Best Actor. The international premiere of third film,, place in 2011 at the 64th Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the Special Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard competition program. His most recent film, Leviathan, screened in Official Competition at the 67th Cannes Film Festival and won the award for Best Screenplay. Michael Haneke, born 23 March 1942, is an Austrian film director and screenwriter best known for films such as Funny Games (1997), Caché (2005), The White Ribbon (2009) and Amour (2012). His work often examines social issues, and depicts the feelings of estrangement experienced by individuals in modern society.[1] Haneke has worked in television theatre and cinema. Besides working as a filmmaker, Haneke also teaches film direction at the Film Academy Vienna. At the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, his film The White Ribbon won the Palme d'or, and at the 67th Golden Globe Awards the film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In 2012, his film Amour premiered and competed at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The film would go on to win the Palme d'or, making it his second win of the prestigious award in three years; this made him the seventh director (at the time) to have won it twice and the only Austrian director to have accomplished this. The film received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Actress in a Leading Role for Emmanuelle Riva. It won in the category of Best Foreign Language Film. Haneke has made films in French, German and in English.In 2013 Haneke won the Prince of Asturias Award for the arts.

In A CIAMBRA, a small Romani community in Calabria, Pio Amato is desperate to grow up fast. Jonas Carpignano spent his childhood between Rome and New York City. He began making films at Wesleyan University and after graduating continued working on film sets in Italy and the US. His work as a director has been shown around the world and has won awards at Cannes, Venice, and Sundance. His first feature film Mediterranea debuted at the Cannes Film Festival - Semaine de la critique before receiving the award for the best directorial debut of 2015 by the National Board of Review. His second feature film A Ciambra will premiere in the Directors Fortnight at the 2017 Cannes film festival. Jonas lives in Italy where he continues to work as a writer and director.
