Hudson Line Projects Overview Project Benefits Albany Schenectady Double Track, Federal Funding $ 91.2M Adds 17 miles of second main track between Albany and Schenectady, allowing for train travel in both directions. i Empire Corridor Capacity Improvements Federal Funding $ 58.1M, State 4.9M 4th Track at Rensselaer Station Adds additional capacity for trains to pull into the platforms at Rensselaer Station, replaces obsolete 30 year old signal equipment with new state of the art system. Hudson Line Signal Wire Relocation Rl Phase 2 Replaces and buries signal wire between Rdh Redhook and Rensselaer making signal system more reliable. Track and Platform Improvements at Schenectady Station Constructs new track and platforms at Schenectady Station, waterproofs under tracks preventing leaks into future station. Hudson Line Signal Improvements Phase 1 Fd Federal lfunding $ 79M 7.9M, State t $1.9M Replaces and buries signal wire between Redhook and Poughkeepsie making signal system more reliable. Hudson Line Grade Crossing Improvements $ 2.45M, State $0 Improves safety at 12 highway h rail grade crossing along the Hudson Line by upgrading warning devices

Hudson Line Signal & Crossing Improvements Overall Program Highlights The $42M Hudson Line Signal Upgrade Projects Reliability, quality and overall functionality of the signal system will be greatly enhanced. Project Limits: Poughkeepsie MP 75 to Rensselaer MP 138 Also included in these projects are safety and warning device upgrades at 13 at grade crossings of local roads on this stretch of the Hudson Line. A continuous Fiber and Power Backbone as building block for future PTC and Signal System Improvements. Last, but not to be shadowed by the other improvements, the removal of the pole line will greatly add to the aesthetics of these 63 miles along the shore of the Hudson River for residents, travelers, and visitors alike.
