December 27, 2018 Dear RAB Home Show Exhibitors: In about a month we will be putting on our 40th Annual Rochester Area Builders Home Show. In this booklet you will find information to answer any last minute questions that you may have about the Show. Please read the entire packet, there is a lot of NEW INFORMATION!! Remember that parking is available at the ramp across from the Civic Center and there is a skyway connecting the ramp to the Civic Center. There is no charge for parking in this ramp on weekends. Attendance at the Show varies from year to year but we typically have between 4000 and 5000 people buying tickets during the three-day weekend. And that is not including the 1500 exhibitors walking through the show. If, after reading the booklet, you still have additional questions, please feel free to contact the office at 507-282-7698. Our email address is RAB@RochesterAreaBuilders.com. Exhibitor Move In We will be scheduling move-in and move-out this year. Each Exhibitor will be notified of their scheduled day and time in mid-january. There is one unloading area for exhibitors who need to deliver display items by truck. This is door #11 at the rear of the Civic Center. This leads to the ramp that leads to the Arena. There are also loading docks that can be utilized. Exhibitors in the Grand Ballroom (upstairs) that have heavy items delivered by truck will also need to use the entrance at door #11 or loading docks. Once items have been offloaded, the vehicle must exit and find off site parking. Materials will be taken to elevators. The rear parking of the Mayo Civic Center is approximately half the size it used to be. Because of this, there will be NO PARKING in the rear lot of the Civic Center OR in the courtyard area by the Exhibit Hall. Exhibitors will be able to unload through the rear overhead door (door #11) and then must find parking elsewhere downtown. Exhibitors who have smaller, easier to move displays can enter via the Skyway entrance or the drop off entrance at the front of the Civic Center. Thank you for your patience and understanding in following these rules so that all exhibitors have the opportunity to move in their booth materials. There will be limited move in access on Friday, February 8th from 10:00 AM 2:00 PM. All booths must be finished by 2 PM, Friday. All loading docks will be closed and only the front exit of the Civic Center will be open. PLEASE HAVE YOUR BOOTH SET UP BY THURSDAY NIGHT! There is limited access available on Friday but IF THERE IS SOME REASON YOU NEED TO SET UP ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON, CONTACT 2 THE OFFICE at 507-282-7698.

Decorator Brede Exposition Services in Minneapolis is the official decorator for the show. You should have received a packet of information about their services. They will also have a representative available during the set up time for any last minute orders. Backdrops and side drapes will be provided in White. The booths will be draped 8 feet high across the back, and have a draped divide on each side, which will be 3 feet high. Please make sure that your carpeting and table skirts coordinate with the Show colors. If you wish to contact a Brede representative, call 1-800-888-3976. Booth Set Up A map is posted on our website designating your booth location. Arena Exhibitors: Remember that you must provide floor covering that covers your entire booth. The Civic Center has specific requirements for the tape that can be used to secure your carpeting. Please contact the Civic Center for details. Masking tape can not be used ANYWHERE! Ballroom Exhibitors have a finished floor, so additional floor covering is not required or allowed. Electrical / Internet If you are purchasing electricity or internet access, you must do this online with the Civic Center; there are NO paper forms for this anymore. Go to https://mayociviccenter.com/exhibitors/exhibitor-information. Look for Pay Online and click HERE. Scroll to February and select our Home Show. Indicate your booth number and make your selection. Hospitality Suite The Hospitality Suite will be open beginning Wednesday at 7:00 AM. It will be located in Room 114 on the main floor down the hallway from the elevator. Beverages and snacks will be available both during set up and during the Show. However, on Show days, Food Service will not be available un l 1 hour after the Show begins. (in other words, eat breakfast before coming to the show) 3

Entrance Into Civic Center ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8th: Exhibitors may enter the Civic Center beginning at 10:00 AM through any of the regular Civic Center entrances. It will be necessary to have an exhibitors name badge in order to enter. Pop up displays and finishing touches can be brought in on Friday, but any major booth construction MUST have been completed by Thursday evening. All overhead doors will be closed so additional items must fit through regular entrance doors. Exhibitors name badges will be available for you to pick up in the Hospitality Room beginning Wednesday at noon. It is mandatory that all name badges be picked up there and distributed to your crew by Thursday evening. WHILE THE SHOW IS OPEN: Because there will be an admission charge for all people attending the Builders Home Show, it will be necessary for the workers at your booth to wear their exhibitors' name badge in order to enter without a charge. If they forget their name badge, they will have to pay the admission price! If you have not already done so, please send us a complete list of names of those people working in your booth. The deadline is January 18, 2019! 4

Exhibitor Name Badges You can order four name badges per booth space rented at no additional charge. Additional name badges can be purchased at a cost of $2.00 each, if ordered by January 18, 2019. We will be printing name badges on January 25th so any name badges ordered after January 18th will cost your company $3.00 each. Please use our online registration found on the Exhibitor Page of our website. Complimentary Tickets We are enclosing your free tickets in the folder that was mailed. A form to order half price tickets can be found on the exhibitor webpage. Contact Shelly at the RAB office with ordering questions. Handling Complaints If you should have a complaint of any kind during the Home Show, come to the Hospitality Room (Room 114, located on the main floor down the hallway from the elevator) and pick up a complaint form. The committee will discuss the complaints after the Home Show is completed and will contact you to discuss your concerns. 5

RULES & REGULATIONS 1. Space contracts can not be transferred. There will be no subletting of any space in the show. RAB members must use their registered member name; non-members may only use the name submitted on the Home Show contract. You are allowed to co-market only with other companies who have a direct business relationship with your company. If you have questions, contact John at the RAB office. 2. All displays and exhibits must comply with all of the rules and regulations of the local Fire Department. Fire exits and alleys must be kept open at all times. 3. Any exhibit or display that has an unfinished side facing another exhibitor's display must either have the side finished or draped. On Thursday evening we will request that Brede Exposition drape any unfinished areas that are visible and the exhibitor will be charged for that service. 4. Neither the sponsor of the show, show decorator, nor building management will be responsible for any loss or damage that may arise to the exhibitor, his employees or his goods either while in transit to or from the building or while in the building from any cause. 5. Under no circumstances will any por on of any exhibit be allowed to be removed from your booth during the dura on of the show or prior to Sunday, February 10th at 4:00 P.M. or you will lose your right to exhibit in next year s show. This will be enforced in 2019! 6

6. All exhibitors must have their membership dues current and their booth rental paid in full by Friday, February 1, 2019, or they will forfeit their booth space. 8.. Microphones, loud speakers, or other amplifying public address devices can not be used without the consent of the committee. The operation of sound motion picture projectors, radios, organs, and other musical instruments that may interfere with another exhibitor is not permitted. 9. Signage should be kept within the confines of each booth. Committee reserves the right to remove any sign that they deem to be inappropriately placed. 10. The Civic Center and Rochester Area Builders, Inc. do not allow helium balloons to be given away by exhibitors. Also, due to housekeeping problems, no shelled peanuts can be distributed in the booths. 11. All exhibitors must provide a current certificate of general liability insurance in effect through the dates of the RAB Home Show. Have your insurance company fax a this proof to the office at 507-282-6351. Every year, each exhibitor must also complete and return the MN Revenue Operator Certificate of Compliance form ST19. 12. The Civic Center does not allow outside food & beverages to be brought into the Civic Center when the concession stands are open. This means that you may bring food & beverages in during set up on Monday through Thursday; but you CAN NOT bring food & beverages in during Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. This includes coffee! Please notify the people who will be manning your booth. 7
