Directions: Label the parts of the body below. Use the picture dictionary to help you. Directions: Write the parts of the body in the correct categories. Write the singular and plural forms of each word. Head/Face Upper Body Lower Body Page 2

New Vocabulary Activities #1: Paper Person Directions: Get into groups of 4 or 5 people. Write all the new vocabulary words on small, separate pieces of paper. When you are finished, select a volunteer from your group to be the model. The model will come and stand in front of the class. When the teacher says, Go! you will tape all the pieces of paper onto your model in the correct places. Each group gets 1 point for every piece of paper in the correct location. It must also be spelled correctly. NO LOOKING AT YOUR PAPER OR THE PICTURE DICTIONARY! Review: Directions: Do you remember all the parts of the body? New Vocabulary Activities #2: Teacher Says Directions: Stand up! Watch and listen carefully to your teacher. When you hear, Teacher says point to your you must point to the correct body part. New Vocabulary Activities #4: Pictionary Directions: Get into groups of 5 people. Select one person to be the artist. The teacher will tell the artist to draw a part of the body. When the teacher says Go, the artist will draw the part of the body on the whiteboard. Your group will have to write the name of the part of the body on a piece of paper and hold it up for the teacher to see. It must be spelled correctly. First group to guess the part of the body gets 1 point. Take turns in your group being the artist and the writer until the game is over. New Vocabulary Activities #5: Can You Label the Picture? Directions: Get into two large groups. Your teacher will draw two pictures of the human body on the whiteboard. Each team will have some pens. When the teacher says Go, take turns at the whiteboard labeling as many parts of the body as you can. You will have 5 minutes. Your group will get 1 point for each vocabulary word. The vocabulary words must be spelled correctly! Work together. NO LOOKING AT YOUR PAPER OR IN THE PICTURE DICTIONARY! Page 5

Possessive pronouns when describing a noun (person, place or thing): my, your, his, her, its, their, our Example: That is my pen.
