Software Wizard Makes Configuring the 2301E Easier Configuration Wizard w Included in 2301E Service Tool The 2301E Configuration Wizard makes it easier to set up and use the 2301E Load Sharing Speed Control by automatically skipping over unused or unselected program functions, reducing confusion and configuration time. This guide includes the following info on the Configuration Wizard: description flow chart screen shots 2301E Configuration Wizard A new feature in revision C of the 2301E Toolkit Service Tool is the First Time Configuration Wizard and the Final Configuration Settings buttons located on the Main Screen. The First Time Configuration Wizard, when pushed, steps a user through the configuration of the 2301E with explanations of what each function does. Depending on how the user answers specific questions, the Configuration Wizard jumps over unused parameters reducing the confusion about what to do with these unused functions and reducing the time needed to set up the unit. The user still has the option of configuring the unit in the usual manner and not using the Configuration Wizard. The Final Configuration Settings button jumps the user to a series of read only screens that lists of all of the settings. This helps verify the setup. Again, the user still has the option of pulling up each configuration screen individually to review individual settings. 2301E Background Information The new, drop-in replacement 2301E controller is backward compatible with existing 2301A and 2301D products, including the same footprint and mounting configuration. The new controller insures the ongoing availability of a proven, versatile product with enhanced features. Enhancements include: separate RS-232 and RS-422 serial ports, both with 9-pin connectors, additional status LEDs for power and RS-422 communications, fault data logging capability with 16 seconds of data collected every 10 milliseconds on the event of a shutdown, peak speed and load detection, and a low-current PWM output for driving Woodward s L-Series, F-Series, P-Series and PISC actuators. The 2301E s new terminal blocks accommodate additional I/O, with a majority of the terminals located in the same position as the 2301D models. And, it carries major compliance certifications.
