Possible events: Revision of the first condition. Activities: listening, matching sentences, order sentences and recording. Additional information with grammar explanations and glossary. 2. Imagining the present: Practice of the second condition. Activities: listen and match, listen and match pictures, write sentences, dictation, writing, match phrasal verbs with meanings. Activities: listen and decide true or false, match sentences, match sentences with situations, write sentences. Additional information with grammar explanations and glossary. 4. Consolidation: Revision of all types of conditional sentences. Activities: match beginnings with endings, choose the right sentence according to situations, listen and complete the sentences, listen and record the answers with short forms, complete gaps, play a memory game. How to use it: Tell the students to follow the order of the activities. In some activities they will have to repeat the exercise if they don't score well enough. To check your students' recordings, go to the activity and listen to it before another student uses the same lesson PART 1 Possible events 1. A trip : In this exercise students must listen to the dialogue. They can click on the text if they don t want to see it or run all the cards. 2. Choose endings: Next, students must drag and drop the correct endings into each square. 3. Order sentences: In this exercise students must arrange the words in the sentences by dragging each one to the correct place. 4. Record plans: This is a role-play activity. Students play the questions and record their answers. Then, run their dialogue. As a help they may click on the key to see the text.
PART 2 Imagining the present 1. If I won the lottery: In this exercise, students must listen to these people talking about what they would do if they won the lottery then drag the pictures to the right bubble. 2. Who said that?: Next, students must click on the photos to watch the video and drag the name under each sentence. Next, they will have to write an ending for each of the sentences using the prompts given. 3. Listen and match: In this exercise, students must click on the pictures, watch the video and then write one sentence per gap using contractions, (would='d), if they need them. They can use commas if necessary, but not at the end of each sentence. Then, they must verify their answers and repeat the exercise if they don't score well enough.. 4. Write an e-mail: This is a free writing activity. Students must write a text using the information given and then e-mail it to their teacher. 5. Match meanings: Here, students must first read some information on the use and meaning of phrasal verbs with come by clicking on the grammar button; then they will drag each meaning of the phrasal verb come to the correct sentence on the left. PART 3 Imagining the past 1. True / false: In this exercise students must listen to the dialogue and then click on true or false under the text. 2. Association: In this exercise students must click and drag the correct endings under each sentence. 3. Situations: Next, students must drag the sentences under the situations next to the corresponding one. 4. Headlines: In this exercise students will write sentences in the third conditional as in the example given. PART 4 Consolidation 1. First and second conditionals: Here, students must drag the endings into the correct beginning of the sentences, revising the first and second conditionals. 2. What do other people say?: Next, students must double click on the gaps to choose a suitable sentence; a screen will open with various possibilities to choose one. 3. Phonetics, listen and complete: In this exercise, students must listen to the first part of the sentences and complete them with short forms, they may read the correct answers by clicking on the keys.
4. Phonetics, listen and record: This is a recording exercise where students must first listen to complete sentences and then record them as short ones. 5. Phrasal verbs; fill in the gaps: Here, students will revise phrasal verbs by filling the gaps with the missing prepositions. 6. Memory game: British superstitions: This is a typical memory game, students must match parts of sentences by clicking on the two windows; if they match a pair, the chart will show a picture.
