No.2 2010 Academic Research Journal Main Abstracts Three Essays on French Literature as Alienated Things Xu Zhenhua, Luan Dong and Guan Baoyan 1 French literature is being alienated, and which has become a new topic. If the concept taught us by the past literary theories could be summed up as a sentence, i.e. literature is literature, then, what we learn from current French literature today is nothing but a topic that literature is non-literature. What the new Mediterranean spirit with France as its representative contributed greatest to the world is just a completely alienated mind and attitude. The change of psychological tendency promoted a real cohesion of literature, history and philosophy, and animated education, science and culture mediated actually, which is based on a natural composition of the heaven, earth and human being. French literature is changing, and its styles are changing too, so, the angle and method for studying the literature should be changed as well. The group of essays concerns the origin and characteristics of French literature alienation, the foreign research trends, and the significance of and method for promoting the research. We hope that the discussion about the new viewpoints, such as the topic that literature is not literature, the method of exploring new literature included new styles, new academic fields and new thoughts, the dissimilation thought and the new Mediterranean spirit, will help readers understanding of the evolution of French literature, and at the same time deepen the construction of human literature thought and its new theory. A Reflection on the Methodology of Researching Marx s Philosophy, for Enhancing, Exploring and Adjustment Liu Senlin 10 To enhance our experience of life and practice requires a premise of strengthening academic studies. The academic fact based on the inner logic of theory itself and problematic direction should not be changed or ignored casually according to different demands in practice. The life and practice may stimulate us to find problems and may also cover problems from us, therefore, we have to keep a critical distance from the life and practice. Our attitude toward nihilism and romanticism can sufficiently prove this point. It is another key point to explore an international vision for promoting Chinese study of Marxist philosophy, which has two requirements. One is to stress the texts concerned as well as their original languages. And another is that the academic research must base on understanding of foreign findings made in the field. Finally, the academic research must also adjust its interlocutors consciously so as to differentiate popular writing for mass, general writing for students, and academic writing for specialists from one to another, but with a focus on the last one. The Human Sense of Righteousness and the Origin of Judicature System Ye Hang 43 The game of public goods is a classical model in economical research, which offers an exquisite pattern for explaining the relation among group, individual and society. In the game of public goods, individual s behavior of getting a lift like opportunism may extend to be any behavior violating social justice and social morality. And its extremist ones may even obtain benefit for themselves through criminal offences included fraud, stealing, robbery or even killing. The origin of human civilization indicates that, in fact, the so-called social order is a result of human being s continuous struggle against those anti -social behaviors. To settle the behaviors of getting a lift in the game of public goods, economics has offered a series schemes, in which punishment and award are accepted as the most effective two ways to settle the difficult problem. According to our opinion, punishment and award are just the most essential constituents in modern judicature system. Through the -159-

research on the game of public goods, we may well understand the origin of human justice and modern judicature system, and further explain the relationship between efficiency and justice, and that between efficiency and law. The Discrimination of Death Compensation between City and Countryside Ye Naifeng 70 Death compensation is a special compensation due to the infringement upon the right of the dead for life. Death compensation compensates both property damage and mental injury. In China, there are various views and misunderstandings in legal theory, legislation and judicial practice in the aspect of death compensation. That results the discrimination of compensation between city and rural area. To eliminate the discrimination of compensation between city and rural area, we should, from the theoretical foundation, establish a system which in accordance with the compensational purpose of the injurers. On the Influence of American Films in China s Interior in the First Half Time of 20th Century Wang Chaoguang 102 The monopoly position of American film in the market of modern China was generally recognized in the earlier academic fields. However, depending on the historical facts, we have reason to think that, except great cities, American films did not occupy an advantage position in the market of China s interior in the early half of the 20th century. Its cause is that, the American films could not meet sufficiently with the cultural demands of the Chinese interior consumers, and was influenced also by aspects such as polity, economy, technology etc. Those are the main Chinese characteristics that hindered the American films spread in China s interior. The Swedish Interest in China and their Construction of Chinese Pavilion Jiang Yinghe 129 The interest in China being popular in European countries in the 18th century presented in multiple respects of social life and cultural fashion. In 1753, the Sweden King built a worldwide known Chinese pavilion within its empire garden at the suburban of Sweden capital Stockholm, as a birthday gift submitted to the queen. All aspects, such as its constructional process, opening ceremony, architectural style, and indoor decoration etc. presented best the strait of European preference in Chinese style in the 18th century. The China Pavilion is still preserved today and becomes an important specimen of China -style architect of garden as an excellent representative of Swedish Chinese taste of the 18th century, and is also an important historical remains in the history of cultural communication between China and Sweden. On Mr. Liu Xie s Theoretical Lost Caused by His Avoidance from the Literature of the Song and Qi Dynasties Ruan Guohua 151 The Song and Qi period of the South dynasty was a time when the three areas controlled by Wu became an economical center of Chinese society, and the literature progressed to be independent and achieved an obvious success. In the period, the creation of five-character line style of poetry representative by a group of excellent poets, such as Tao Yuanming, Xie Lingyun, Xie Tiao and so on, marked the becoming mature of Chinese poetry. And it prepared at artistic and poetry significance for the prosperous creation of poems in the middle Tang dynasty. However, Mr. Liu Xie tent to avoid the literature of that time to an extent in his work Wen Xin Diao Long. It hindered him from investigating more objectively and deeply the new changes in literature, and so it brought the work some lost in its significance of literary theory and literature history, and especially obvious in its literary artistic nature and in the cognition of its social function. Of cause, Liu Xie s great achievement in theory leaves us a preciously spiritual wealth, but his theoretical lost and its cause should also give us a useful enlightenment. -160-
