Depicts her childhood up to her early adult years in Iran during and after the Islamic Revolution. Persepolis is a reminder of the precarity of survival in political and social situations. Students will see how her life is growing up and be able to compare or differentiate it from their own.

OCPS Academic Center for Excellence Students will be given an opportunity to create their own bookmark to go with this year s theme, Spreading Literacy, One View at a Time. Teachers will have their class vote for one winning bookmark and turn it in to me by Thursday afternoon so that a special panel of judges can choose the school s winners (to be announced on Friday). **Get Caught Reading Winner Announced for daily prize.** Spirit Day! Orlando Gifted Academy 1. *Decorate designated inside café window of your class favorite author or book. Judging will be on Feb. 1st and revealed during the Literacy Day. (This is a requirement by all classes.) There are a total of 8 windows and two doors. Perfect for our number of classes! Student led verses volunteers. 2.
