It is the third-largest city in Bavaria and Germany s third oldest city. Also, Augsburg was the home of two patrician families that rose to great international prominence, the Fugger and the Welser family. On our guided city tour we will explore the history of the city: we stroll through the historic center of the craftsmen and marvel at the palaces along Maximilianstraße, before we will enter the stunning Golden Hall of the town hall. Afterwards there is the option to sit down together in a restaurant or to explore Augsburg on your own.

When he took over the power from his father, Max Emanuel started to invite famous artists and extent the palace to its present-day proportions. Today Nymphenburg Palace is one of the greatest royal houses of Europe and offers a beautiful large park area. Together we will go on a guided tour through the palace before we will sit down in the Palmenhaus a coffee house with historical charm.

We will go on a guided tour that delivers insight into the highlights of the museum. Afterwards there will be time to explore the exhibitions individually or sit down together for a little snack and coffee.

The beautiful and varied landscape around Murnau once attracted the artist group Der Blaue Reiter. This group of artists introduced modern art in the German-speaking area and is considered as a pioneer of expressionist painting. We will go on a train trip to Murnau for a guided tour and will visit the main sites and, supported by appropriate media, compare the original motifs with the creations by the artists at the real-life locations.

Adolf Hitler tried to seize power here with a putsch in 1923 and failed. He was detained and convicted to 5 years in jail by the Munich Law Court. Hitler used the confinement to write his book Mein Kampf. But in Munich was also resistance against the National Socialist movement. Members of the group White Rose were willing to risk their life in the fight for humanistic and Christian values. We will go on a guided tour through the city and visit historical places of this time.

After this, you will receive an email with all payment details. Your registration will only become official after you have made the payment and sent a confirmation email. The number of available places is limited. In the case of too many registrations we reserve the right to select participants at our sole discretion. Withdrawal If you want to withdraw your registration,please do so at least ten days prior to the event via e- mail. In the case of your cancellation your fee can only be returned if we can find someone else to take your place. If you do not appear on the day of the event we will not be able to refund your fee. Should this happen twice, you will not be considered for the rest of the events during the term! If the necessary number of participants is not reached, the event may be cancelled. In this case your fee will be reimbursed. Extra Information About one week prior to the event you will receive details on the meeting point as well as other organizational information.
