Hans-Dieter Buchmann / pixelio.de Oktober STIBET Event Excursion to Augsburg When: Sunday, October 8th Time: 9:15 a.m. Price: EUR 6.00 This day trip brings us to Augsburg, a neighboring city of Munich. It is the third-largest city in Bavaria and Germany s third oldest city. Also, Augsburg was the home of two patrician families that rose to great international prominence, the Fugger and the Welser family. On our guided city tour we will explore the history of the city: we stroll through the historic center of the craftsmen and marvel at the palaces along Maximilianstraße, before we will enter the stunning Golden Hall of the town hall. Afterwards there is the option to sit down together in a restaurant or to explore Augsburg on your own.

Bayerische Schlösserverwaltung r November STIBET Event Nymphenburg Palace When: Sunday, November5th Time: 10:45 a.m. Price: EUR 3.00 Nymphenburg Palace owes its foundation as a summer residence to the birth of the longawaited heir to the throne, Max Emanuel, who was born in 1662. When he took over the power from his father, Max Emanuel started to invite famous artists and extent the palace to its present-day proportions. Today Nymphenburg Palace is one of the greatest royal houses of Europe and offers a beautiful large park area. Together we will go on a guided tour through the palace before we will sit down in the Palmenhaus a coffee house with historical charm.

Deutsches Museum December 6 4 s u f Ru a, i d e p i ki W STIBET Event German Museum When: Sunday, December 10th Time: 10:45 a.m. Price: EUR 3.00 The German Museum is the biggest natural scientific and technical museum of the world. About 28.000 objects of the areas Energy, Transportation, Materials and Production, New Technologies (Nano- and Biotechnology, laboratories), Communication and Musical Instruments are exhibited. Axel Hoffmann / pixelio.de January STIBET Event Murnau and the Beginnings of the Blue Rider When: Saturday, January 13th Time: 8:45 a.m. Price: EUR 6.00 Murnau is a small and idyllic community in Garmisch-Patenkirchen, which is popular for its proximity to the Alps, the Staffelsee and its moorlands. The beautiful and varied landscape around Murnau once attracted the artist group Der Blaue Reiter. This group of artists introduced modern art in the German-speaking area and is considered as a pioneer of expressionist painting. We will go on a train trip to Murnau for a guided tour and will visit the main sites and, supported by appropriate media, compare the original motifs with the creations by the artists at the real-life locations.

kiripic / pixelio.de February STIBET Event National Socialism History and Resistance When: Sunday,February 18th Time: 10:45 a.m. Price: EUR 3.00 Munich has a history of National Socialism. Adolf Hitler tried to seize power here with a putsch in 1923 and failed. He was detained and convicted to 5 years in jail by the Munich Law Court. Hitler used the confinement to write his book Mein Kampf. But in Munich was also resistance against the National Socialist movement. Members of the group White Rose were willing to risk their life in the fight for humanistic and Christian values. We will go on a guided tour through the city and visit historical places of this time.
