Please allow an hour and a half to create your lantern. Make sure you bring your finished lantern along to the Festival of Light: Lantern Procession in December. Work with professional lantern makers and create a more elaborate lantern ready for this year s procession. This activity is very popular, so early booking is recommended! All acoustic acts are welcome whether it is spoken word, music comedy or magic - expect a welcoming atmosphere and an enjoyable evening of entertainment in a unique setting. Performers also get a free drink. This is our resident crafting group who meet twice a month. All are welcome; card-makers, knitters, stitchers, jewellery-makers, scrapbookers... whatever your craft bring along your projects, meet like-minded people and maybe even learn new crafting skills from another member. These friendly drop-in sessions are designed to provide support for people living with dementia and their carers. Sessions feature homemade cake, and activities led by professional artists. They are designed to encourage conversations, help stimulate the brain and enrich the lives of people living with dementia. Visual and Performance Arts TOGETHER Expansion Exhibition Red Earth Site-Specific Workshop Presented by Studio 8, a group of 9 artists resident at. They work in a variety of media, and their exhibitions over a number of years have showcased an exciting range of work that responds to a new and contemporary theme each year. This year the theme is Expansion. This 5-day intensive will appeal to emerging and established artists, and professionals working in the arts world who are interested in extending their skills and practice in the context of outdoor installation/performance.
