Members will explore characters and stories through a range of practical games and exercises, developing their performance and communication skills, whilst building confidence and most importantly, having fun. Run by experienced professional dancers and choreographers, Debbie Camp and John Darvell, these weekly sessions provide an opportunity to explore contemporary and modern styles of dance in a fun environment. New methods, subject matter and materials are presented each week ensuring that every session is different as you choose how to develop your work with Sally on hand to offer advice. Experiment with mono-block printing using acrylic sheets, jelly moulds and watercolour printing inks to create your own unique pieces of art with artist Sally Haynes. SCHOOLS LUKE BROWN CURTAIN-RAISER SCHOOLS CHOREOGRAPHY CHALLENGE This is an incredible chance for young dancers to work with Luke Brown, an exciting emerging choreographer, at a hugely subsidised price. Together you ll create a piece to be performed on the Corn Exchange main stage before Luke Brown s professional show For You I Long the Longest. Learn, explore and create through dance. A professional dance practitioner will visit your school to work with a pupil group of your choice to teach a short routine and set your group a choreography challenge suited to their experience. Their responses to this challenge will make up the performance at the Corn Exchange on Thursday 3 November.
