Besides an ECO version, every model is available as a networkable variant (PLUS). For adhesive-bound or saddle-stitched print products the newly developed three-side trimmer BC 330 offers convincing production features. MOHR CUTTERS Mohr Cutters are tailored to the specific demands in digital printing Mohr Cutters are durable, programmable cutting machines with hydraulic drive. Quick-print shops, copy shops, commercial print shops, in-house printers value not only the uncomplicated operation, but also the long service life of the cutting machine. The unique cutting precision is obtained by the sturdy construction and the direct measurement. The precise and gentle bevel swing cut is carried out hydraulically on all of our models. This allows adjusting the dwell time of the knife in the BDC to the respective material. The corrosion free table surface provides very easy gliding which makes the material easy to handle. On Mohr Cutter 80, this effect is even supported by air jets. On models 56 and 66, air jets are optional. The clamping pressure can be continuously adjusted within a large range by means of a turning knob with scale to suit any material to be cut. A variable pre-clamping time control optimizes cutting quality when dealing with different materials. Luminous LEDs indicate the cutting line to the operator. Repeat sequences can be saved in one of 198 available memory positions and even be adapted at any time. The cutting programs are either generated manually or menu-driven and intuitive via block programming. Repeat sequences can be saved and adapted at any time. To do so, the system has 1,998 memory positions available. Process visualisation gives the operator a graphic indication of the material handling. This reduces the likelyhood of operating errors. Compucut generates the cutting program automatically. A bar-code reader enables the machine to start the cutting program automatically. This allows setup times to be reduced to almost zero.

MOHR ONE-KNIFE TRIMMER Mohr single knife 3-Side Trimmer BC-330 automatic book cutting The robust, networkable Mohr 3-side trimmer is the machine for automatically cutting perfect-bound or saddlestitched products. In contrast to a three-knife trimmer, it only has one knife and the book is placed into the cutting position by a gripper. The cut is hydraulic, which enables the time the knife spends in the bottom dead center to be adapted to the material. The robust cutting unit guarantees a precise cut that is gentle on the material. The applied pressure can be infinitely adjusted to every material to be cut within a large adjustment range. To increase performance, several products, stacked on top of each other, can be cut simultaneously. The container for waste can be accessed from the outside. The machine is operated using an ergonomically positioned 18.5" touchscreen display. Recurring cut sizes can be stored and adapted at any time. Integrated in the digital workflow, the cutting data is transferred directly. The machine can be equipped with a bar-code reader to automatically launch the cutting program. This reduces the set-up time to practically zero. The central networking component is the P-Net Server which forms the principal control system for the following P-Net services. ESPV ESPV is an abbreviation of the German term for External Cutting Program Administration. With ESPV a deliberate number of cutting programs can be stored on the central P-Net Server. In addition, P-Net organizes a fast and efficient exchange of cutting programs between all the cutting machines which are connected to the network. Compucut For more than 25 years, Compucut has allowed to generate cutting programs outside the high-speed cutter reducing the programming times at the machine to zero. This increases the productivity of the high-speed cutter even when very simple sheets are cut. Direct from the prepress stage the cutting data is supplied as ppf or jdf files. From these files Compucut generates the corresponding cutting program, either manually or automatically, depending on the customer s specification. In order to ensure the best possible program cycle Compucut automatically optimizes the cutting programs by adding the required comments, additional functions and information for operators. Once the cutting program has been set up, it will be sent to the high-speed cutter via P-Net. The operator can see a graphics of the sheet and the corresponding handling. This process visualization helps to minimize the proneness to errors in the cutting process significantly. Bar code The cutter has a bar-code scanner incorporated. Once the bar code has been read, the allocated cutting program is automatically started. There is no tedious search for the right cutting program and, consequently, there will be no operating errors. GS-certificate Production process The material is loaded into the machine through a transparent flap on the upper side. After the flap has been lifted, the material to be processed can be manually placed and aligned against the aligning gauge. The corresponding job is selected on the four-line display and operation starts immediately. The settings required for processing, such as laser intensity and speed are defined beforehand via color linked settings in the printer driver. Laser source: sealed CO tube, air cooled.
