Hello, We are the artists from Bobland. Each of us has his own talent. In our own way we can introduce our country to you. We would like to know about other countries. If you present your country, we can learn from each other. To start we will show Bobland to you, we will tell you who we are. Numbers, numbers, how much of this and how much of that... That s my talent. I am the numberbob. You can often find me between the inventors and scientists for the latest news. I m dancing bob, Bobelina. My feet never stop. Besides dancing, I really enjoy a ballet, theater,... I m artbob. I get inspiration from all the wonderful things from my country. I make paintings, sculptures and drawings. I can also look at maps for hours. I am the designer of the flag of Bobland. They sometimes call me silent bob. Because I like a quiet place to enjoy myself. I like to put time into my work. So then I can be proud of myself. And in all I do, I get to know myself better. Thanks to me, every bob has his own passport. We are the groupbobs. We enjoy working together. We look around in our country at people who make beautiful things together. Again and again we think about how the bobs in Bobland live. I m naturebob. Rain or shine, no matter. I pull it out every day. I study the animals and flowers around me, I love the sea, mountains, meadows and woods. And of course I m crazy about experiments. As a true musicbob singing and making music is my passion and my life. I know every song and instrument from my country. I know every artist. Music makes me happy. Letterbob is my well deserved name. I make poems, stories, books,... I like to browse in old dusty books. Letters have no secrets for me. 3

Image Here I am. Lets get going, let me introduce my favorite artist from Bobland : Guppy is a painter who paints the best dolls. Every now and then,he peeks inside the world of men and paints what he sees: Here is a map drawn by me of Bobland: and our flag: buildings in Bobland, you ll only see houses of the Bobs. And of course I paint myself. On canvas, on paper, acrylic, watercolor, whatever you want. I make the best statues of clay, wooden furniture and I love to make beatifull things with needle and thread for every bob. Who are the famous artists from your country? What do they make? What material do they use? What beautiful buildings are there to visit? What does your flag look like? Where is your country? A lot of questions. Please tell me. If you are looking for BOBLAND Make a reproduction of an artist. Build a model of a building. Draw or paint your house / room. Paint or draw something important in the history of your country. Make a Power- Point of your country. 4

Language I know all the great writers and poets of Bobland. I also know some writers from other countries I would like to introduce them to you. I love the stories of Pippi Longstocking. Astrid Lindgren wrote all the stories about this cute girl a long time ago, but Pippi is forever, I never get tired of her. My favorite poet is Annie MGSchmidt. You already know her poems : The spider Sebastian, I am naughty... Her stories about Floddertje and Pluk are known by thousands of children and Bobs. But enough about the poets and writers. I like to puzzle with letters and enjoy Make a beautiful poem poster. Create a work of art with letters. Write a word in different ways, with different materials. Collect clippings from newspapers and magazines and make a joyful collage with it. Make a composition with painted letters or use a template. learning other languages. I have learned the human language quite well, don t you think? In Bobland we speak Bobistiq. That s a nice language without consonants. It sounds like: Iaoayoay: this means: I am so happy today. Bob s still write books with feathers and purple berry juice. Enough about us. Tell me about your language. What characters do you use? Who are the great writers and poets of your country? What language is spoken in your country? Do you have artists who create beautiful things with letters? Do you have nice spells? Have fun and tell me as much as possible. But do not tell too many words. I like to watch pictures, letters, images,... as long as it is beautiful. 5

Together We are Bobbie and Beppie and you ll always see us together. We know everything about the culture of Bobland. We can help you with questions about recipes of Bobland, the most important parties, the ins and outs of Bobland. We can not tell everything about our country, but some important things we want to tell you anyway. Everybody knows that Bobs like to live together as a group. Everyone helps where he can, so that you always can count on others. Bobs like to celebrate. When they have a party, they all work together. Some bake cakes, other Bobs decorate the place, someone makes invitations,... everybode helps so everybode can have fun at the party. Bobs are also very active and creative creatures. There are plenty of choices for everyone. You can join different clubs: the garden club, the painting club, science club, sports club... Maybe you ll meet us at a party sometime. We now must learn a lot about your country. We know your country only buy photos. So... What are the most famous traditions in your country? Do you have many festivities in one year? Which ones? Can you also join a club for things to do?what do people in your country like? What s a famous dish in your country? Does your country have a long history? Who s the boss? Do people like working together? What do you like about your country? Why should we visit it someday? Tell, tell, tell! Work together for this task. You can work in pairs, with a group of 4 or even all together. Create a menu and prepare a delicious dish. Make a drawing or a painting about the history of your country. 6

Nature Even though I am yellow. They call me the green Bob. Not green with envy, but green fingers because you can always find me outside in the woods, feelds near the water,... Are you looking for beautiful places? I know them all. Got a bite, an injury or pain? I solve it with remedies from nature. Every animal knows my name and not a tree, plant or flower is unknown to me. Pictures speak louder than words so take a look at the landscape of Bobland: there are lots of butterflies, bees, ladybugs,... All the flowers have large leafs and bright colors snails wearing their cozy cottages along everywhere you see high grass and broad green leaves grow from the ground The marsh marigold grows under the ground Take photographs of the landscape or collect pictures and make a collage. Integrate the pictures in a drawing or painting. Paint a landscape inspired by Monet at different times. Paint the most beautiful flowers with aquarel. Make a beautiful picture or sculpture and only use only things from nature. Make a drink, an oil,...with flowers or herbs. Make a bottle and a label for it. Draw a landscape of your country and tell us what we see in it. 7

Movement Dancing and moving is my life. I am the dansbob. Together with some other Bobs I m in a special club where we often meet to practice our dance moves, to prepare a musical, running competitions to perform shows... Everyone has his talent and moves his way. Some are famous and win medals and receive prizes for their achievements. Others do it just for fun and enjoy thereselfs every time. Around us, everyone is happy every time. The other Bobs are happy to watch our shows and encourage us during matches. Sometimes we hear some news from famous people of your world who have a life full of movement. Do you know them? What about the movement in your country? Are there athletes? Does your country have often won medals in international competitions? Is there a famous circus or ballet? Which sport is your country known for? What are the biggest sports stadiums and major theaters? Have you ever been to a play? What did you think? What does your country do to develop their childrens talents? Sit down and tell me everything! Draw a portrait of a famous athlete or dancer. Find a movie of a nice performance on the Internet and enjoy! Share it with others over the Internet. Make a drawing with chalk or watercolor pencil of a ballerina. Design a poster for a great talent from your country. Make a plaster statue of a highly respected sport in your country. Build a model of a famous theater. Design your own unique dance, perform it, film it and share it with others. 8

Me I m me-bob. I am a thinker. If you want to know what I know everything about, it s about myself. I made a whole museum about me where you can learn all about me. I also like working on my own. So I can think like no other and I can think about how things work, why things happen, why I do things the way I do. By myself I like to read about other great thinkers like Socrates and Aristotle. They are ancient thinkers. Each country now has its own thinkers. We have Boudste. If we have a problem, we ask for his advice. Then he pulls back for a moment to think. After a while he returns with his wisdom. Do you also like to think about the big questions? Do you know who you really are? Who are the great philosophers of your country? What are your dreams and desires? What are you proud of? What do you like? Take the time to think about yourself or do what you always wanted to do quietly on your own. Make a museum of yourself on paper / in a book / internet /... Make a book containing the best spells and ideas you know. Make a painting of a spell. Draw the world and give yourself a place in it. Create a portrait of yourself. Get yourself a passport that shows who you are. Do something you can be proud of and show it to everyone! 9

Numbers I m Bob27, scripts, numbers, formulas, codes,... I can not live without! Together with other numberwizzards, I am always looking for puzzles to solve, mysteries to unravel, dates which can be played... My big examples are Newton, Einstein and Leonardo Da Vinci. They were always looking for the secrets of the world and yet they managed to decipher them as well. If you keep your eyes open you ll find numbers anywhere you look : number of inhabitants per country, dates of events, lock codes, codes on cards, birthdays, money, formulas, passwords, degrees of maps, coordinates,... Are you allready in the mood for numbers? Do you want to explore alle the numbers you can find? Look, listen, feel,... stick your nose in the books. Tell as much about your country in numbers as you can. Show your creativity and ingenuity here. Who are the great inventors, explorers and scientists from your country? Where can I find your country on the map? Make an illustrated map showing the coordinates of your town. Devise a way to tell us about a famous invention from your country in a secret language. Collect pictures of famous inventors and process the pictures in a drawing or painting.... 10

Music Music Maestro! I love music. I listen to music. I make music. I sing in the shower and on the stage. I m musicbob. Bobs make music anytime, anywhere. While painting they sing, you hear whistles in the woods, there are pianos in every house and in the middle of the forest stands a harp. So wherever you go, you hear music. I myself play the violin. With a soft sound I wake everybody up in the morning, and every night everyone falls back asleep with violin music. In music, everyone is different. Some like quiet tunes, others are about to swing on the grass and stear up the sound even louder, some make music and some listen to others. I do not know many of your countries music. I only know the great masters of history and I have no idea where they come from and where they lived. So I do know Mozart and Beethoven. Madonna I once heard already, but I would like to learn much more about music from all over the world. This thing we have in common: many Bobs read music like a book, but with notes instead of letters. Do you know famous musicians from your country? Do you have famous composers in history? What instruments are often played in your country? Do you know what an orchestra is and if there are large orchestras with you? Do you have an anthem? Do you have traditions in music, such songs are sung repeatedly for special events or shows that you can attend every year again? Tell it, sing it, play it,... Create a typical instrument of your country. Draw an overview of the music from your country. Search the web for famous songs or instrumental music and share them with others via Internet. Write a song with a musical score. Sing it, record it and show it. 11
