-, 2019 Celebration High School #monday#clhslitercayweek#favoritebook- Students will take pictures with an Instagram prop holding their favorite book in the media center. The media specialist will post pictures on the T.V. in the media center. The pictures will be accessible to anyone who has a T.V. in their classroom. This will be ongoing. Ted Talk Tuesday My Year Reading a Book from Every Country in the World - Students will come to the media center to watch a Ted Talk about the importance of being a well-rounded reader. Graffiti your Favorite Book Quotes- Students can come to media center and write their favorite book quotes on a wall in the media center. This will be ongoing. Poetry Slam- If you have a passion for writing and love poetry then come and watch the poetry slam in front of building 8 near the Beach. Students can recite an original poem or create a poem to present. The Poetry Slam will take place during lunch.

Favorite Book Character or Writer Day- Pick your favorite book character/writer and dress up like the character. You must be able to explain who you are with a visible sign and your reasoning for choosing that character. Dress code Guidelines No tights, clothes with rips or holes, facemasks, hats, and props must be school appropriate.

-, 2019 New Beginnings Educational Complex Classroom Door Decorating Contest: Teachers will decorate their door with decor from a book that has influenced their lives. A student will discuss information about a SSYRA book called "CatStronauts Mission Moon." This will include artifacts from the author. Book Talk: All teachers will have a 5 minute discussion with their class about the book on their door. Buddy Read: All students in ELA classes will do a buddy read. Students will read and discuss an article or book to each other. Book Skit: A select group of students will perform a skit during breakfast to the whole school. The skit will be related to a book that they've read. Book in the Bag: All students in Reading classes will create a book in the bag. Each bag will represent a different literary element. Attachment C
