1. INTRODUCTION 1.1. Prduct descriptin The Titanium is a cmpact satellite headend with 4 (Ref. 8700) r 8 (Ref. 8701, 8703) tuners. It is a transmdulatr with 4 utput MUXs (DVB-T/DVB-C) r 8 utput MUXs (Ref. 8703). The standalne mdule with built-in pwer supply allws fr very fast installatin. The Titanium has 2 CI slts fr CAM cards (Ref. 8703 has 4 CI slts). ATTENTION! The Titanium shuld be wall-munted. Fr ventilatin purpses, leave a minimum f 15 cm arund all sides f the mdule. 1.2. Typical installatin The Titanium can be used t prvide high quality satellite televisin in a wide range f prjects, bth in the hspitality as in the residential market. Typical buildings r infrastructures where the Titanium can be used include, but are nt limited t: - Htels, hstels, bed and breakfasts, hliday parks - Hspitals, rest hmes, prisns - Large and small multi-dwelling units with an internatinal public, settlements - Maritime infrastructure such as bats, yachts, barges 2
1.3. Package cntents - 1 x Titanium (ref. 8700 r 8701 r 8703) - 1 x 75 Ohm terminatrs - 1 x Mains cable (1,80 m) 1.4. Prduct dimensins 3
1.5. Munting Prper installatin is critical t system perfrmance. It is particularly imprtant t install the Titanium crrectly in rder t receive and distribute ptimal signal quality. - Munt the Titanium t a wall in a well ventilated and cl rm. Fr ventilatin purpses, leave a minimum f 15 cm arund all sides f the mdule. - Plug the 4 satellite cables in the SAT 1-4 prts. - If the Titanium shuld receive RF signal frm anther Titanium r an external surce, cnnect a caxial cable t the RF IN prt. If nt applicable, insert a 75 Ohm terminatr in the RF IN prt. - Cnnect the caxial TV netwrk t the RF ut prt. - If the Titanium is cnfigured t read CAM cards, insert 1, 2, 3 r 4* CAM cards** and smart cards* in the slts n the backside f the Titanium. (* depending n Titanium type) (**Nt included with the Titanium). - Pwer the Titanium with the mains cable. Once it is pwered, a RED POWER LED will start blinking. When the LED stps blinking and turns BLUE, the mdule is cmpletely bted and ready fr cnfiguratin. This will take apprximately 4 minutes. - Fr cnfiguratin f the mdule, the web interface must be accessed. Therefre, plug an Ethernet cable in the cntrl prt, and the ther end in a cmputer. - Mre infrmatin abut cnfiguratin f the Titanium mdule can be fund in the next sectin 4
2. CONFIGURING THE TITANIUM USING THE WEB INTERFACE MINIMAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS The WebGUI is supprted by the fllwing web brwsers: - Ggle Chrme - Mzilla Firefx - Internet Explrer - Safari Make sure t use the mst recent versin f the brwser. When using a different brwser, we cannt guarantee a crrect functining f the interface. LOGGING IN TO THE DEVICE Plug ne end f an Ethernet cable in the cntrl prt and the ther end in a cmputer. Once the Titanium is pwered and fully bted, the mdule is reachable and ready t be cnfigured. Fr a mre reliable WebGUI cnnectin, we advise t use fixed IP r DCHP. Therefre, carefully fllw the steps belw: Set the cmputer t btain an autmatic IP address as explained in the fllwing prcedure (fr Micrsft Windws10 ) Navigate t the Cntrl Panel (Start Cntrl Panel). Enter the Netwrk and Sharing Center and g t the Adapter Settings Right-click n the Lcal Area Cnnectin and chse Prperties. Duble click Internet Prtcl Versin 4 (TCP/IPv4) t enter the IP settings f yur adapter. Make sure the Obtain an IP address autmatically checkbx is selected. Click OK t save the settings. 5
