Then film club is the place for you. Dave Brigden is currently a film producer and director at Simon Fraser University and has his own film company Moonshake Media. You will be taught the entire process of putting a movie together, from writing to final productions, and our film will be entered into a film festival this spring. All students are welcome to join, and the schedule will be somewhat flexible throughout the year. Software: We will use the Adobe Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Mixcraft or Garage Band and more. This Japanese paper art stimulates the brain through the use of fine motor skills. As you visualize your work and decide how to construct wonderful and unique creations, you will develop the power of your imagination and colourful creativity. Through demonstration and hands on instruction, students will have the chance to create realistic quality special effects injuries such as frost bite; beards, moustache, sideburns; exposed finger bone; healed scars and pirate look; ageing with latex for HDTV and Film; Dragon skin and Joker mouth effect. Gr. 6-8 Tues 3:00PM-5:00PM Cafeteria January 15 March 5 8 $135 Minimum: 8 Maximum: 12 WEDNESDAY S CROSSFIT Each session is one hour long and incorporates foundational movements, techniques for weight lifting (squatting, pressing, lifting), and GPP (General Physical Preparedness). We also work on mental preparation and a positive athletic mindset, which are essential not only for game day but in life. Our goal is to make every child as strong and prepared as possible. Our family of coaches have an extensive body of knowledge each having a deep understanding of different aspects of fitness. The Princess and the Frog This show is filled with fun characters that kids love to perform. Join P.L.A.Y. this semester as they bring the story The Princess and the Frog to stage. 'Kiss a Frog and he'll turn in to a Prince' but that isn't always the case. Join us as we dive in to Tiana's story and her dream of her own restaurant. This class will have drama games, fun exercises and the students will rehearse a shortened version of the show to be performed for their family and friends on the final day of class. Be a game designer, learn how to take big ideas and create epic games that you can play and share online using the Unity game engine. You won t be glued to the screen all day, game designers collaborate, create artwork and work on their concepts indoors and outdoors. All hardware, software and supplies are included. You will require an email address in order to receive your confirmation number and to be able print out a receipt for your payment. To access the registration website please visit the Minnekhada Middle Community School Website then click on the Community Programs button on the homepage. If you do not wish to register online there is still an option to register by filling out the paper registration forms. They are located on the James Park Community School website in the Community Programs Page or can be picked up at the James Park Community Office. Please return complete forms and payments by cash or cheque made payable to School District 43 Central Community Programs Refund/Cancellation Policy: We will gladly refund your account, for any reason, within the registration period. Refunds will be pro-rated and subject to a $5.00 administration fee for cancellation after the start of programs. No refunds will be given on the day of the second class or later.
