Norms: classes and categories The IEEE 802.3an Protocol for the Ethernet data transmission at 10 Gigabit / s requires a bandwidth of 500 MHz, for which today the cabling specifications are defined at international and European level. It should be emphasized that the requirements specified in the corresponding American standard EIA / TIA (definition of Cat 6A) differ from the international (ISO / IEC) and European (EN) ones.
