ADDENDUM NO 2 In Accordance with the Tender for Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a Commercial Grade Display Screen At Kamburu Control Centre. KenGen hereby issues Addendum No.2 REVIEW OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION AND BILL OF QUANTIES TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The Display required must be of Commercial grade, at least 79-85 in size and capable of both portrait and landscape orientation; rated to run 24/7, 365 days a year to be installed at Kamburu Control Centre. The display should meet the PC/Macintosh compatibility specifications including the latest technologies. Manufacture s Local Service Center Visit Successful bidder to facilitate visit to manufacture s Local Service Center for Quality Assurance and Exhibition of the care and functionalities of the screen.
The bidder shall forward the manufacturer s brochure detailing performance and technical specifications. BILL OF QUANTITIES AND PRICE SCHEDULES General i) The tenderer shall complete all schedules. Schedules shall be read in conjunction with the specification. ii) iii) The total prices in the Main Summary of price schedules shall be deemed to include for the whole of the contract works in accordance with the specification. Any prices omitted from any section or part of prices schedule shall be deemed to have been included in another section of part. iv) All prices shall be shown inclusive of duty and of all taxes current at the time of tendering. v) The successful bidder shall deliver all materials and execute all works as per detailed specifications and Table of price schedules. Note: i.support and Maintenance shall be paid for at the end of every year, after commissioning. ii.kengen will meet the costs of her staff travel costs to manufacture s local service center. Successful bidder s role will be to arrange for the visit and exhibition of the display screen functionalities, care and quality assurance that the screen is original and supported by the manufacturer. iii. In addition to above, the bidder is required to prepare a detailed BQ and pricing schedule. Documentary evidence and locations of manufacturer s local service center(s) and spares. Show evidence of at least three ICT works in Energy sector in the last 5 years. Each of the works should be Kes. 2 million and above. 3 year warranty and Support. The successful bidder commits to provide a spare LED Display unit if the new LED screen fails during the warranty and Support period. Any faults with the new screen should be fixed within 2 weeks or a spare provided. KenGen will be at liberty to claim damages if the
screen fails and there is no spare provided. 9. Delivery Location Kamburu Control Center (Kamburu Hydro Electrical Power plant, 55 Km from Nairobi. see Google Maps) 0. Mandatory site visit.
