Quartier Belvedere is quickly evolving into a unique and vivacious new city district in Vienna. New office complexes, hotels, apartments, stores, restaurants, schools, hospitals and clinics, as well as parks have emerged in the vicinity of Vienna s new Main Station, creating a vibrant and diverse atmosphere in the area. VIENNA'S NEW MAIN STATION VIENNA S NEW MAIN STATION One of Europe s most modern train stations. The new Main Station serves as a through station, with high-efficiency north-south and east-west connections, making Vienna the most important hub for regional, national, and international transport and a central junction in the trans-european rail network. With its new Main Station, Vienna is strengthening its position in the heart of Europe. The new modern station is a calling card for Vienna as a center of tourism and a business location. The eye-catching visual feature of the new station is the folded, diamond-shaped roof, which extends over five platforms with ten railway tracks. Two levels of retail, shopping, and business, spanning approximately 20,000 m² invite travelers and visitors to browse, relax, and dine. Quartier Belvedere is located directly along the cultural axis, which spans from the cultural highlights of the historical City Center of Vienna, such as the Staatsoper and the Museum of Fine Arts, through the Schwarzenbergplatz, Belvedere Palace and 21er Haus, right to the Museum of Military History in Vienna s Arsenal. Quartier Belvedere lies in an arts & cultural neighborhood surrounded by classical architecture as well as the numerous galleries, project spaces, theaters, artist studios and gardens.
