UQFL103 Ron Tullipan Collection Size Contents Biography Notes 11 boxes Drafts of short stories, playscripts and novels, correspondence, newspaper cuttings and copies of printed sources containing material about Ron Tullipan, notebooks, research materials, photographs, album of newspaper cuttings and other memorabilia compiled by Vi Tullipan. Ron Tullipan was born in Murwillumbah in 1917 into a well-known Queensland circus family. He worked on properties in Queensland and Northern New South Wales before joining the AIF in the Second World War. He studied art and literature overseas and in Sydney, and was involved with the Realist Writers movement. He published many short stories and three novels, Follow the Sun (1960), March into Morning (1962), which won the Mary Gilmore Award, and Daylight Robbery (1970).
